We have owners who say very little, we have a manager who has never dealt in the transfer market, we have no idea what our squad will be like next season. I'd like to see Paul McKenna so that I could be hypnotised into forgetting about football for the next month.
Has anyone seen this? http://www.cafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10267~2363875,00.html Youga news is very encouraging. It would also be good to hear some further news on the progress of JJ's injury.
if Bensons comments are anything to go by in his evening Evening Standard column recently, everyone in the club is probably having a 'well earned break' as he puts it!
Kelly Youga's contract runs out and all of a sudden he's ready to make a return to action after 20 yes 20 months out injured... Fancy that! I am encouraged by the last paragraph, where Powell makes it clear he's not going to jump in and give him another contract without being sure he can come back from this serious, long term injury and do a proper job for us. Personally i wouldn't touch him with a barge poll. Knee injuries that keep a player out for two years are no joke. I for one would be absolutely astonished if he returned even half the player he was prior to this injury. That's coming from someone who's had major knee reconstructive surgery that brought a premature end to my football career.
