It's not that easy to emigrate from Asia or Africa you need to apply for a Visa and prove you can support the person arriving and they can speak English to a level accepted by the UK. It's not just a case of going back to your village and marrying a cousin arranged by your family it is much stricter since the Tony Blair days.
Not at the moment, but let's not forget that many people are relying on the Commonwealth countries as our post-Brexit trading partners. To get trade deals with those countries we'll also have to make some concessions. Still, something more than half our immigration comes from outside the EU (and those from the EU as you pointed out above are often seasonal so go back shortly after) so the ones from outside the EU must find it easy enough.
Some work may be seasonal but the workforce don't go home they probably sign on if the work dries up. (Don't think I even mentioned seasonal work) A friend of mine has a South African partner she is 70 years old and has her own medical insurance. He is 58 and works 40 hrs a week plus overtime through an agency earning way more than the £19k he needs to support her she even has grandchildren in the UK. Despite this the UK Imigration won't grant her residency as sending her home won't be a hardship. She doesn't qualify for benefits and will not be a drain on the economy but she has to go . Yet the town is filled with unemployed Romanians who can just hop on a coach and stay here as long as they want and given the same benefits as a British person. It's insane .
Funny isn't it the EU is a great bastion of women's rights and the UK is so bad , however we are one of the few European countries where 2 women have become prime minister and Thatcher was prime minister well before the EU even got going on women's rights. Oh and our head of state is a women and has been in place longer than some of these EU countries even existed.
I get that, but on the whole, EU migrants are young and energetic so statistically take very little in the way of benefits and pay in a decent amount in taxes (the opposite for non-EU migrants). They usually do go back home in the off season too. Obviously, there are exceptions, but exceptions shouldn't be the guide. In any event, again this is unlikely to change because of Brexit. As a public policy matter, even though people don't like it, it generally is better to have unemployed immigrants on benefits than unemployed immigrants with nothing. Various studies have comprehensively demonstrated that benefits tourism is minuscule and wildly exaggerated by the Daily Mail because it makes a good story.
Non sequiturs don't make for interesting debates. India had Indira Gandhi as a leader and has some of the worst women's rights in the world.
I didn't vote for any Tories ever or read the Daily Mail Express or any British Newspapers. There have been 2 rapes in Ipswich in the last few months and a number of stabbings all perpetrated by our East European guests . This doesn't help .
I think I might have some paint I want to watch drying!!!! Failing that, I might just go down the pub!!!
haha, I can hear him now "No one knew what they were voting for.... No one voted for a hard Brexit... Blah Blah Blah!" All this BS from the man that promised NOT to increase Student Tuition Fees!
This is what really fecking irks me when the likes of Clegg, Heseltine and that weasley little twat Farron tell me that I didn't know what I was voting for I knew EXACTLY what I was voting for you patronising tossers, I did vote for a HARD Brexit and am quite prepared if necessary (which I doubt), to be a bit worse off if that's what it takes for my country to regain it's sovereignty and be in charge of it's own destiny once more ! #rantover
The EU is like going out for a staff meal where the fat bossy woman from HR has a starter 2 bottles of wine the lobster dessert and coffee while you have a steak and a beer then at the end of the meal she informs you that we split the bill . Some of the group forgot to bring their wallets and you end up paying £80 when you ate £20 worth of food.
