What is it with Doyley - he is a fairly rubbish full back and has only scored one goal - why has he achieved cult status?

I suspect it is Nordin Wooter syndrome

 

Leo wash your mouth out , he is a loyal hard working helping the community sort of guy! How many premiershit players do you know like that?

 

...whereas Cashley Cole is a good full back, has scored a few goals and is generally disliked. There must be a reason...

 

I still expect Watford players to be able to play. Look at the stick Priskin took - but at least we got £1.7m for him. Doyley has not been good enough for years and we need a real LB - sorry to all you Doyley lovers but it has to be said - and I could not care less about overpaid Premiership wazzers

I just do not understand this Doyley cult as I said before - he is not very good.

Norway - have you ever spent a season watching him?

SLB - how can you have such good judgement on LB and not on a LB

Doyley is a people's man. Priskin wasn't Watford through and through. When Tommy came back, he was welcomed with open arms, even though when he went, he wasn't that great. He was Watford. Doyley isn't terrible, he works really hard, and this season has actually played very well, but he's a fans favourite because of his attitude and commitment..Priskin didn't show either of those things. And yes, Doyley has charisma.

Sometimes Doyley does something that frustrates, but when he's not on the teamsheet, something is missing!

In other words Leonardo, i can't explain it! lol

 

I tell you what- when I watch that clip I still can't help but almost want to cry with happiness. It went totally potty up the top of the Rookery where I stand. He's a proper Watford player and he's steadily got better and better at his job, he's a pleasure to meet and it's a testament to his efforts that he's still a regular on the team sheet. I reckon his testimonial will be one of the best attended in Watford history.

Think about Watford, how you see them and how you want them to be- you know we'll never have the best players out there, but you don't care. You want effort and commitment and no big time charlies. You want a team that want to be there, love their job and don't give up. Friendly and down to earth. Lloyd is just that player!
