    ...why oh why can't we sing 'Oh when the Saints...' properly anymore at St Marys!

    I've just been watching the Spurs game, and their rendition sounded superb. When a section of the crowd jumped in too early with the speed up (after only one slow verse), they were booed down by a large section. They then started it again, did the two slow verses and it sounded wicked.

    Maybe we need to do the same to get the message across? I sit in the Kingsland north and it used to sound amazing when it gradually goes round the ground. It just doesn't happen anymore!

    I know we don't have a full stadium so much, so can't expect it to sound as good as WHL, but come on - it's time to reclaim our song and sing it properly!

    I agree, we need to start singing songs properly. Last few games songs have stopped short and never got going

    I'm sat here watching the Spurs game and commented on how their fans booed down those who sang it wrong till they got it right.

    I'm sorry if I bore you - last time I looked, this was a forum and I was free to start threads.

    It's because a lot of our fans have an IQ below 100 when in football fan mode. Too many people speeding things up.

    How embarrassing ... Spurs sing OUR song 100 times better!

    Definitely think we should boo the twats who speed it up! Especially the twats bangin on the boards tryin to speed it up

    Spurs fans were a great ...

    I was just saying that it hacks me off when people smash on the plastic boards at the back of the stadium, preferably not in any relation to the chant that is going round at the time. Should have quoted Kingsland...let me off I'm new :biggrin:

    Don't get me going on the speed of the songs & board banging,<steam> I said what I thought the other day on 'Speed of Songs' thread. Totally agree with you all, if they kept the speed right, SMS would rock, end of.
