    You seriously think that there's any comparison between Phelan and Silva? It's not just about the fact that MS has won two out of his first three games, it's about everything else that has gone on alongside those wins, it's about the blokes whole persona. If you think there is any comparison whatsoever in their qualities then I have to say that I thought better of you.

    I just said it's very early to decide if we are turning a corner. I'm optimistic as most of us are, but realistic too.

    The obvious improvements we are seeing in the performances every week under Silva are an embarrassment to Phelan and Bruce.

    The passing under Silva is light years better.
    We are pressing the opposition far more (sometimes 3 players converging on a single opponent in possession).
    We are playing much higher up the pitch.
    We are making more chances and scoring more goals from open play.
    The tempo is faster.
    The technical skill levels are higher.
    We're conceding less goals.
    The players are happier to have the shackles removed.
    We look like a team that can compete in this division.
