I think MS will see the next 4 games as winnable, that seems to be his attitude... and a real advert for his skills...
Dennis with all due respect (and I've had a shandy or two) you are wrong. Anymore of this negative shenanigans and I will personally alert "the boys" who will descend upon you and give you a severe slap.
Hasn't some 'Super Computer'( SAM?)in England predicted that Hull City, Swansea and Sunderland will be relegated(City bottom by several)? Also Man U and Arsenal will miss Top4.
Silva is already getting good and improved performances from our players, some of whom have been playing in positions that they are not used to. Next four league games are toughies but I reckon we can pick up at least a point and maybe a win somewhere. Certainly the spirit and confidence of the players was evident in the second half today. Get couple more players next week, particularly a right back and we can really kick on.
Yup, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs, Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal top 6, Swansea, Sunderland then us 18-20 in today's Times according to their weekly column based on a very detailed computer model by a group of academics. Doesn't mean it's right, but you're right that it's been predicted and reported.
My heart agrees, my head says if we get more performances like today we'll make a good go of it, but it might be too big an ask once the next few games have been and gone. Fingers crossed that my heart's right!
Silva has the look of a guy that seems to know that these are early days, and there's a very long way to go, which gives me confidence. He won't let the team ease off until the maths is assured.
I feel much more reassured with Silva at the helm. Makes the right substitutions as far as we can see so far too. As someone mentioned, seems to get more out of the players, man management.
Burnley have 10 aways and 7 homes to play , I think because they played Liverpool at home instead of away early in the season . A bad run at home and continued poor away form would hopefully see them pulled into the relegation groupings .
I don't think that Silva will be thinking that way, I think that he expects to win every time he sends his team out, and it's sooooooo refreshing that this is our manager, and he has no intention of sending his team out to simply sit back, absorb pressure, try to eak out the draw and invariably go on to lose. Vamossssssss Marco.
They're in the top half and probably only need a couple more wins, it's almost job done for them, they're not going to get dragged back into the mix.
