My main worry now is who we will lose, I would just like Hessenthaler and Scally to come out on Monday and say that Hessenthaler will stay and that we will keep the main players like Bayo, Barcham, Weston, Jack Payne, Danny Spiller, Luke Rooney and Chris Palmer. Just beg that we keep these as there are important players, No poiny even wishing for Cody as that will not happen.
As I said a couple of weeks ago, what we need at this moment and I mean today......is for Paul Scally to step forward with Hess and send out a positive message for the fans. IE...."Bad luck, we gave it a run after a diabolical start and in the end it proved too much. I have every intention of providing Hess the backing to IMPROVE on our team, and if that means a bit of a cull too, then so be it. Our best players will be offered very attractive contracts as they will be the back bone of next seasons promotion side. No play offs." We need to hear something like that today...........please.
It took 3 months to lay the ghost of Stimson and get the team to believe in itself. If anyone can next season it is Hess. From the 3 teams above us in the playoffs there are going to be 3 very disappointed teams and sets of fans. Teams that fail in the playoffs rareley do well the following season. Exceptions...Gillingham and Rochdale. So lets hear something positive from the Chairman and Manager.
