There is no way we will sign anyone in this market. It is crazy and teams will go bankrupt because of it. We have bought very wisely and have made the right decisions with young players like, Hernandez, Rafeal, Smalling. These have been very good signings at decent prices. As for signings in the summer, I can't see them now. If Carrol who is nothing special and preety average is valued over 35m then there is no way we will sign a top centre midfielder for less than 50m. I can't see our manager spending that much on just one player.

Each player is different. Carrol is going for 35 million as newcastle didnt want to sell him and he didnt want to, he wasnt going to force a move like torres has done. So that puts newcastle in the driving seat and of course they are going to want big money when he is there best player, doesnt really wanna leave and liverpool have just received 48 million for one player. It depends on club and player that is being dealt with.

This is crazy money and Chelsea have just announced a massive loss without one off payments. They are going to get the axe in Europe now
