Harsh red card - good 2nd goal tbf. Worrying that once again we seemed to play much worse in the 2nd half after the half time team talk.. What is Walter saying (or not saying)!?
Was disappointed that the Hull fans booed Niang, as I think his reaction had more to do with the collision after the challenge by Niasse than the challenge itself.
That was our fans doing the job they are supposed to do. That's what it is all about. Unsettle the opposing players, don't tell me you Hornet fans ain't ever done that when needed? He did go down like he had been shot though. then the rest of the game not even a twinge or limp. He did his job too playing his part in getting Niasse sent off. Although I don't think even he thought it would be a red. The ref spoilt the game. The right result for us though. You are safe, enjoy not having to worry about anything till next season, I hope we join you and stay in the Prem.
No idea, let me know if you need the next few doen, rotation seems to be working well when we are both here...
If you can do the next one, I will do the following one, but then I will be away for the final three games. Think the PM thing is how you have your settings probably.
I was prepared to give Walter the benefit of the doubt before this game. The doubt is now increasing rapidly.
He was pretty scathing of the players on the WFC website, but surely if he see's they are not responding he should do something?
He always is trying to but the lack of English cannot help during games if he wants to get a point across. Just ends up waving his arms about and holding his head!!
In my opinion he was very unlucky to be sent off. It was not malicious or deliberate. BUT, I disagree that Niang went down like he had been shot. He was caught by studs half way up his calf. He was not play acting, it was a painful tackle. Well done Hull. The only team that looked like they were interested in winning that match. They fought for everything, while we looked disinterested. Hope you stay up, just on my way back from a weekend in Hull and would prefer to do that again next year than go to Swansea!
By the sounds of it quite a few were vocal in their criticism - no wonder not went over to "clap" the fans apparently.
Apart from the utter debacle between 16:00 and 16:50 I had an enjoyable trip to Hull. But that second half was woeful. I was one of those "vocal in their criticism". And not without cause. I look forward to receiving a refund from the club: ticket, petrol and train fare (I stayed with friends across the Humber) = £120. An unacceptable performance from a team that probably thought that they only had to turn up in the second half to win... and didn't manage either.
Your man for Hull got his red card overturned - http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39711077 So, we could have lost by more if they had 11 on the pitch.
Or we could have won - we were on top at that stage, and the sending off did. to a certain extent, spur them on. The decision makes this former ref look silly - http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....be-rescinded/story-30289908-detail/story.html
Not really, BB. He, DG, was not privy to the appeal but did say he felt it was wrong. We're asked if we have anymore to add to our report and the answer is generally "no" although it's possible he may have said he's made a mistake. Had DG said that Madley was absolutely right then he would have. I thought it might have been a red at the time, and the hole in the stocking coupled with Niang's reaction sealed the deal. Certainly reckless but patently not excessive or dangerous with hindsight. Studs showing, calf high... can't blame him. I have to agree that it spurred them on, got the crowd going- cracking atmosphere... Apart from the coin throwing mug in the hull end that nearly took a young lady's eye out after it bounced off her husband's shoulder
