The view from the top of the Minster is fantastic. Then a pint of Boston in the place on the corner of Posterngate, then a spicy chicken pie and an Atom beer in Zebedees Yard (food festival is miles better there btw) Just washing it down at home with maltesers and a large Glenmorangie (cheers for the birthday present Askew)
I've enjoyed all the food festivals, but the queues... Our visits usually go down like this. Our lass: See anything you fancy? Me: The one with the shortest queue.
I did take her up it I took her right up the tight spiral staircase It was really tight...and she was quite scared a couple of times. I squeezed in ok though Legs were aching a bit by the end, but it was well worth it for the feeling at the top
Holy Trinity is still a better name. Hull Minster doesn't sound right. Hope the mrs managed to get a go on the organ den, it's supposed to be very impressive...
Understandably it wheezes a lot more than it used to these days. I won't mention the woman complaining about the size of the organ, and the man saying it's not used to performing in a cathedral.
Chazz is right The organ is impressive However you can't just walk in and start fingering it whenever you want
