Ah, good. I've been looking for some inspiration for a decent nightmare. I assume this is the murial that commemorates the return of the undead fisherman whose body was thrown in the harbour after being run over by some drunk teenage Americans exactly a year ago?

They don't want the sight of their uncovered rollers enflaming the passions of hot blooded Hessle Rerders.

Or why you'd want to stay in that area. We need a hotel slap bang in the middle of town.
What's happening with the old cop shop in queens gardens??

That was the perfect site for a hotel, but as Den says, it's going to be flats.

There was originally going to be a new hotel on the Edwin Davis site, but it fell through. I think the Council were hoping a hotel operator might come in for the Bond St offices, but they're pig ugly and it would be cheaper to demolish them and start again.

Same with the old Co-Op, which is a shame as it could be quite cool, they could call it The Muriel Hotel.

    Hull City Council news

The Queen Victoria Square fountains are to be switched on in time for the bank holiday weekend and the half term holidays!

This Friday (26 May), following an intense round of specialist testing which has already captured the attention of the public, new water features installed into Queen Victoria Square will now be switched.

Fountain jets in Queen Victoria Square are part of the £25m regeneration work to the city centre’s public realm and totally unique to the city; with the inter-locking circle design the first of its kind in the country.

Head down to Queen Victoria Square from 10am for a special opening!
