It's not like the writing hasn't been on the wall since November last year.

I'd have said Pinto and Pritchard were two of the only bright lights of this calamitous, abject, diabolical season? And Thompson if he'd had more than one senior game before injury.

But surely the manager & head coach should have sorted the issue out well before now after all Irvine acknowledges its been a problem all season

Excellent post General and as you say AI has persevered with the Muppets who have so regularly capitulated against the opposition and I then complains when they do - what did he expect???
I think both AP/JM would be perfectly happy 'playing slightly out of position', but at least they'd both be on the pitch!!!

I can picture me leaving CR after about 75 minutes on Saturday if we have a similar team and we're losing. At least Pinto and Dijks SHOULD be in the team!!

The summer clear out is as much about shifting deadwood in terms of a ability as it is a removal of there mentality. Spineless.

Yet when the under 23s played Villa in the PL International Cup, we went behind 3 times, but went on to win 4-3 - that's the mentality that the first team needs,
NOT to capitulate as soon as we go behind away from home!!!!
Edit - A telling comment from Gary Gowers on MFW - "Yet a simple analysis of Huddersfield, both at Carrow Road in December and last night, portrays the headline differences between the two sets of players: one hungry, vibrant and energetic, the other arrogant, self-entitled and listless. The 5-1 aggregate score is a fair reflection."
    Full article here - http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...-live-on-sky-and-201617-cant-end-soon-enough/
Edit - Irvine says, "I can't protect the players!!".
    SIMPLE - DON'T pick them then!!!! <doh>

I chose to not watch the game on Sky or even check the score.
The players don't turn up for away games that has been evident for most of the season .
I think we are worse than rock bottom Rotherham away.
For me to waste a single Oz of time and energy on this shower of **** is futile.
They only play slightly better at home because they don't want to be booed off the park or have season tickets and clappers thrown at them.
Our entire defence and both goalkeepers are ****.
We need 10 new players there next season a defensive mid and a striker.
Start from scratch and sell or release most of the squad.

I consider myself lucky. I am fast asleep when mid-week matches are played (not out of boredom) so do not have to contend with the horror show. I just wake up at 7am to read about it.

We have 2 away games left just write them off as 0 point no shows and 4 home ones that don't really matter anymore.
Clearly the yoof are not going to make an impact in such little time even if the management had the balls to try them, so this season is finished already .
One of the worst I have ever witnessed.

I expect the team for Saturday to be:

    Hodges
    Jones
    Sponge
    Cheeseman
    The Vicar
    Mainwaring (Capt)
    Godfrey
    Pike
    Fraser
    Walker
    Wilson

I'd probably go as far as to say THE WORST I've ever witnessed and I wonder how many other ST holders now wish they had opted not to renew their STs.
I accept the fact that it's what a lot of fans do on a Saturday during the season and often the only time they get to meet up with some of their mates for a few beers etc

I personally would love a ST, if I didn't have work and racing commitments restricting my ability to get to games I would have one. Call me naïve but I look at next year with a lot of optimism...finally a sense of refreshment at the club...a change of manager...a change of mentality...a change in personnel...an injection of youth. We have essentially had the same core of players for the last 3-5 years, involving 2 relegations...the squad has stagnated and finally next year we will see something different. I HOPE!

I wish Martin would just do the decent thing and pretend to be injured.

I hope you're right Suffolk. I have a feeling that off loading some of this dead wood won't be so easy. Some are out of contract but if we can't find buyers for others then they're likely to stick around especially as we won't have the funds to replace half the players we'd like to. Just one more reason to promote the younger talent.
