Only bottom of the league Rotherham (58) have conceded more away Championship goals than Norwich (40). please log in to view this image Sky Sports Match Preview Here: http://www.skysports.com/football/huddsfld-vs-norwich/preview/358583 David Wagner’s Match Preview David Wagner previews tomorrow's game “They [Norwich] are seven points behind with seven games to go – so everything is possible.” “There are 21 teams who would love to be in our position - this is what we have to realise. What the players have achieved so far is something special – it is incredible to be fighting for a play-off place." “Making the play-offs would be an unbelievable achievement for this football club – we have to be totally realistic about that. Anything else is so far away and unrealistic – if we achieve a play-off place it would be a special achievement and I would be a very happy man.” “You can never ask for a must-win in the Championship – all you can ask for is effort and attitude, every point is hard to fight for in this division." “We have spoken a lot about what is possible and realistic and I have always said it isn’t realistic to be in the top six. To be fighting the likes of Norwich City, Aston Villa, Derby County, Fulham, Reading, Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds – not to mention Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion. We are Huddersfield Town and if I said before the season we would be challenging them then you would send me off to the hospital." “But it is now a realistic achievement which we want to achieve and are working to do so. We have played 38 games now and I have never had the feeling any game is easy. You can only focus on the future and what you can do, which is against Norwich City on Wednesday evening. This is a top Championship team, maybe even a Premier League side in terms of names, quality and experience. So it will be a very tough test and we need everyone to be switched on and at their best.” Alan Irvine’s Match Preview City's interim boss Alan Irvine gives his thoughts "They [Huddersfield] haven't surprised me because I could see how they were developing last year." "Did I expect them to be quite as good as they have been? Probably not. They've been very good and made some good signings." "They have a really interesting way of playing and they're where they are on merit." "We'll look at games they've played recently. Like every other team in the league, they have their problems and deficiencies and we'll look to exploit those areas." Irvine will draw positives from the Canaries' performance against Aston Villa on Saturday, even though two Jonathan Kodjia goals condemned them to defeat. "We completely controlled the game, even with ten men." "We outpassed them by about 400 passes and we had the territorial advantage. "It's not like us not to score, especially when we've been as dominant as that. I would expect that if we're as dominant as that again we'd go on and score a couple of goals." "It's vitally important that we get a good result at Huddersfield, there's no question about that. We need to win as many of the games as we've got left in order to give ourselves a chance of getting into the play-offs." Masterpiece again KIO. I guessed the last game spot on. This one. Terriers win, definitely. I'm going to say 3-1. And that's being positive. I could easily see a 4 or 5-0.
Brilliant work as usual KIO and I'll be VERY surprised if we even manage a draw. Huddersfield are easily the best team I've seen at CR this season and their last 2 defeats and us nicking Webber certainly won't 'choke' them and will spur them on to do the double over us. <getscoatemoticon> I'll still be down the pub watching the game though!!!
Really can't make up my mind for this one.... ...do I need two casks of Ghost Ship watching the game, or will one do!
Great thread Rich, you really do excel at these. I've got my yellow and green glasses on - Terriers 0-4 City! You heard it here first!
Come on lads scale this down please and be serious, I know a lot of you seem to have a whale of a time with these puns but this is a football thread ! 4-1 Udders
