who was that preston north end manager that got sacked after we beat them at the KC - simpson ?? short stumpy skin head kinda guy.
Yeah it was Paul Simpson, and we were also responsible for getting Steve Cotterill (i think) sacked the game before when we beat Burnley. Also ironically Taylor at Palace i think. Our antics continued into the prem, Scolari at Chelsea and our win at WHL was near the end of Ramos reign at Spurs, whether it was the game that got him the sack or not i don't remember.

did Mark Hughes effectively get sacked after our match at Man City? I know he stayed for a few games after we played them but I remember hearing that his fate was sealed after our game against them.
Hughes got sacked straight after winning a game, think against Sunderland. If they had no other fixtures between then maybe City's result was the final straw.
