Rory is a male given name of Gaelic origin. It is an anglicization of the Irish: Ruairí and Scottish Gaelic: Ruairidh, and is common to the Irish, Highland Scots and their diasporas. The meaning of the name is "red king," from ruadh ("red-haired" or "ruddy") and rígh ("king").
Aye aint he coming along. Now he can copy and paste off Wikipedia. I taught him everything he knows btw.
Several reasons old bean. Firstly, it's a matter of vibration of the air molecules upon impact, which will occur irrespective of observation or not. Secondly, if unobserved sounds did not occur then Darwinism wouldn't have produced ears imho. Thirdly, all that Zen Buddhist business is a pile of ****e. Fourthly, I am nine hours ahead of yooz. Fifthly, FACT
While the vibration of air molecules will still occur these vibrations are interpreted as sound by something observing via ears. If there is nothing there to interpret it how can we know if there is any actual sound as we understand it?
If nobody on here has seen Tina's dried up old fanny how do we know it hasn't grown a skin over it like a rice pudding left out for a week?
I believe the cool kids call this phenomenon ' physics'. It's an immutable law of the universe, and somewhat similar to the sound of a ' pop' on the internet..
Dogs interpret sound very differently from humans. If there's nothing there to interpret it, how does it sound?
The shrewd money is on the sound being almost indistinguishable from that of logic falling on deaf ears..
Sound is in the ear of the beholder. With nothing to behold what a falling tree sounds like we have know way of knowing.
....but, but, but, it's impossible to know what an uninterpreted oscillation of air molecules may or may not sound like.
