Agree 100%. This case can't do anything to undo the tragedy the families suffered. Their brave battle will help others though and shines a light on all that is wrong with the establishment. I hope it brings them some peace and comfort knowing how important a contribution that is to our society.
Not saying it's impossible, just that (I think) it can only apply to voluntary manslaughter and not involuntary manslaughter (and maybe not at all in the UK). But that's not the point of the thread so will leave it there.
Although if i was a prosecution lawyer i would be looking at the possibility of attempted manslaughter, we have to remember these events went way beyond football, the miners strikes were still a very bitter memory in the police forces mind, particularly South Yorkshire. Maggie Thatcher was also master to the helm on this one, she knew exactly what was going on, what went on and was as much involved in the cover up as anyone else. We talk about Social Cleansing for the Grenfell Tower, but the Wicked Witch of the West was Social Cleansing well before the events of this year 2017, there has been an outright vendetta by the Establishment, it's warriors and the media since that fatal day at Hillsborough...today was just another piece of the jigsaw towards a day of reckoning, sadly a lot of those that should really be held to account are now dead.
I posted my thoughts after the inquest that finally told the truth and today I am pleased for obvious reasons. You have shown the whole country how to fight for justice, and I am proud to say I have lived in and near the City for decades. Now, let's hope another action group seeking answers for Grenfell can be inspired by the actions of Liverpool people, but that it doesn't take 28 years . Well done, Liverpool.
I think it also shows that the bigger the responsibility (and with it the bigger the financial rewards, authority, status and political clout) the bigger the urge to cover-up when you **** up. We'll see what happens with Grenfell, but when the two parties have had a ten-year bun fight of he-said-she-said in 1952-onwards, it'll eventually all come down to some dead dude of one of the parties (probably Labour) that are not in power when the eventual final report comes out. Absolutely nothing will be said about outsourcing responsibility, and the privatisation of the inspection/regulation regimes.
Now days you get more for being a hacker than a paedophile. Suppose it depends how ****ed up on life you are if you think thats fair enough or not.
The scumbag 5 made their debut's at Warrington magistrates court today. The contempt this ****er in particular showed to a now elderly woman that lost two beautiful daughters in the disaster is disgusting. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news...ugh-prosecutions-suspects-face-trial-13454540 please log in to view this image
I have a good feeling about this. Such is the mood of the football community and the wider public over what happened that day, I think that some of these lying ****s will do some hard time, possibly seeing out their last days in prison. Just one point though, I was in Huddersfield yesterday and noticed that the Yorkshire Post are still referring to the 'Hillsborough Disaster'. This was a ****ing massacre. Disasters are generally, acts of God. This was entirely man made. Disaster my arse!
Report released today. The former Bishop of Liverpool set out 25 "essential" learning points in his report, titled The Patronising Disposition of Unaccountable Power, and called for three crucial ones: A charter for families bereaved by public tragedy Proper participation of bereaved families at inquests The creation of a "duty of candour" for police officers He said: "The experience of the Hillsborough families demonstrates the need for a substantial change in the culture of public bodies." The Bishop supported the introduction of a "Hillsborough Law", which has been called for by families and would make it a criminal offence for public officials to cover up wrongdoing. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-41832657
It already is a criminal offence, they just didn't want to bother applying the law: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perverting_the_course_of_justice
You're talking about perverting the course of justice - the Hillsborough Law is about public bodies being enforced to tell the truth
