Greater Manchester Police need to weed out the officers in their force that either hate scousers or LFC with a venom that prevents them doing their duty and obeying orders, they were informed in June that using photos of dying and injured supporters at Hillsborough for "internal posters" was a mistake and never to happen again, yet a couple of months down the line the ****s have ignored their commanding officer.

A campaign calling on retailers in Liverpool to stop selling The S** has received the unanimous backing of city councillors.
The newspaper has been widely boycotted in the city due to its coverage of the Hillsborough disaster, which led to the deaths of 96 Liverpool fans.
A motion put forward at Liverpool Town Hall on Wednesday night condemned the paper for printing "blatant lies".

Roz Gladden will preside over a special ceremony tonight when relatives of those who died will receive an ornate scroll and medal.
The accolade is also being awarded to Kenny and Marina Dalglish for the support they've given to the families for the past 27 years, and to Bishop James Jones and Professor Phil Scraton for their roles in the Hillsborough Independent Panel.
Ms Gladden says it's important to remember each of the 96 individually:
''Signing 96 scrolls was quite significant for me - what I did that day was put each individuals picture on my computer as I signed it so I could see their face... it was quite heart-rending."

Not to hijack this thread, but today's decision on Orgreave shows that the Tory's are still covering up police wrong doings. Its a pattern of police brutality in the 1980s against those the Police and Government didn't like.
Pretty sure all the miners want is to be told it wasn't all there fault and an apology for wrongful arrests, and for the police (and those in charge to be held accountable) not to mention the doctoring of police statements.

Its been stated that many of the senior officers on duty at Orgreave were on duty or behind the scenes during the Hillsborough cover up, its not rocket science to assume the same illegal and covert deflection tactics and lies in rank and file PC's notebooks took place at Orgreave.
South Yorkshire Police and the Conservative Party a match made in hell.<ok>

And they call us 'victims'. I'll let you pick the bones out of it yourself, but while Bettison is crying Blame Culture and 'Salem' (I kid you not), just chew on this - had Duckinfield been honest about opening the gate, and had SYP (and Wright and Bettison, as the then acting ipso facto information minister for them) not simply corrected Duckenfield before the BBC showed the police opening the gate (and, as has now been proven, they DID know from their own officers that it was opened by them) it need not had taken decades to get to the truth. But here's another thought - what if the BBC hadn't filmed them opening the gates? What would Bettison be saying now?

Well done Evan Davis, btw. Please try and get that maggot MacKenzie on next.

I know this is through the looking glass stuff (very Sisu) but try this for size: could Bettison be trying to stir up enough negative **** and hostility that if he is indicted by the CPS in the new year then his lawyers will claim he can't get a fair trial?

Perish the thought that a member of the establishment would be so conniving, you will be claiming next that cover ups occur!
