That depends on your definition of 'plenty' and 'very popular'. Numbers are well down on what they used to be and nowhere near as high as they should have been for a recently Premier league and club. Obviously some will still continue be sold but not in the numbers they should be. These days the number of shirts from previous seasons often exceed the number of current shirts worn by fans at many city matches home or away.

Can you post the link on the numbers please? It would be really helpful.

No, Can you? As you suggest it may well be helpful. But then again if the figures came from the club do you think they would be entirely reliable, true and accurate? Or would it be subject to the usual lies or spin? (as per their claim that there is no policy not to use the club's official name, or that the owner would sell the club within 24 hours, etc..)

You appeared to be claiming definitively that numbers are down. They were certainly well up on the season after the cup final with the new badge.
Cos of the final but people don't get hung up on it, only on here.

There's obviously a fair amount of people who refuse to buy anything with the new badge on, there's also thousands less people attending games, so the potential for a sale has shrunk considerably.

I've no idea how current shirt sales compare with previous seasons, they'll obviously be down, but we're unlikely to ever know by how much.

There was something in the last accounts that showed the drop in revenue from merchandise sales (?) but that was all the stuff together not just shirts. Someone be a good chap and dig it up.

They missed a couple of tricks there.

They could have shortened their name to '...Hearts...' and had the tag line, 'a total elipse of the Hearts.

*I know their name's longer than just 'Hearts' but that shouldn't spoil a **** joke. <ok>

No, I am not claiming 'definitively' in the sense that I have irrefutable accounts although as others have also mentioned - it would appear to be the obvious conclusion based on observations of numbers of fans wearing them and the very fact that match day attendances are down. However I note that you appear to be claiming something quite definitive when you say that 'They were certainly well up on the season after the cup final with the new badge.' Presumably you can provide the link to substantiate this?

They would definitely sell more if they actually had Hull City on the shirt

We should have been selling a **** load of shirts and merchandise in the last few years but we obviously haven't

    I thank you.
Hull City are delighted to report record-breaking sales of the Club’s brand new home kit since its launch last Wednesday.

A staggering 1,900 shirts where snapped up by Tigers fans in the opening two days of sales, a significant increase on last year’s sales when the Club sold 1,440 in the space of a full week. The first two days of last season’s launch saw 698 shirts sold, meaning sales have doubled in the same time frame. Over 2,500 2014/15 shirts have been sold to date.

Tigers fans, decked-out in the new amber and black shirt, packed the KC Stadium last week to see their team secure a 2-1 aggregate victory over FK AS Trencin, a result which sets up a date with Belgian side Lockeren in the UEFA Europa League Play-off Round.

Marketing & Online Commercial Manager James Mooney said: “We have been really pleased with the figures to date. Tigers supporters have really got behind the design and our renewed partnership with Umbro – a brand that is steep in football tradition whilst embracing modern football trends.

So as I said. Generally people had and have no problem with the badge, only on here.

They were down in 2015/16, though Mooney refused to accept that it was down to the badge and said it was 'other factors' and they'll have been down again last season. You'll see no numbers published for the past two seasons, or this coming season, as they'll be much lower.

And the suggestion that nobody outside of this board cares about the use of name is patent nonsense.

But they'd went up with no name on the badge. So the people who buy shirts don't really give a ****, most of the posters on here don't even buy shirts just like to ****ing moan.
As I said earlier other things came in to play, concessions for one.
Plenty of people still buy them, you can see them everywhere.

Amber shirts/Black collar would be better than amber shirt/amber collar wouldn't it?
