Looks like he's going to be out for a few weeks. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport...nkle-operation-in-blow-to-newcastle-1-8395877 Now is the time for Shola's cult figure replacement to step up to the mark. Lets all support the "Ginger Ninja"
Cracking stuff! And with Brighton, Reading and Huddersfield in the next 3 weeks all away! No to playing Colback - either give Mbemba a chance there or Barlaser. In fact, if Santon could play there then maybe Lazaar could? Basically any of our plays but Colback.
Colback needs dropping. He is a liability and means we effectively play with 10. I still haven't forgiven that ginger tosser for the free kick he gave away at Blackburn. Mbemba or Diame should be playing CDM.
Mbemba played the role in the ACON, I'd give him a run out as well. Luckily Villa and Bristol City up before the big 3 games but I'd imagine Colback will get the nod. Hopefully he either up's his game and shows he's worth a spot in the team or messes up so badly Rafa has no choice but to drop him...
He has! but seems to keep getting a reprieve with Shelvey suspended, Diame away or Hayden injured. Diame didn't have the best performance last time and Hayden injured means Rafa will select him as an orthodox CM but I'd rather Mbemba was given a shot at it or Anita? is he injured atm no one seems to mention him?
Interesting timing. Please, please, let's see Mbemba back for Villa in the DM role. 4-1-4-1 worked nicely, it take the game to the opponent that bit more. Darlow Yedlin - Lascelles - Clark - Dummett Mbemba Ritchie - Diame - Shelvey - Atsu Gayle (Mitro if Gayle's not 100%) Nice looking team, that. Options, too. Drop the DM for Perez or Mitro if we're struggling to impose, or bring on a second DM for Diame if we want to see the game out. I really like that team. Contain and attack. Almost 4-3-3 at times too. I've got to stop writing, I'm getting a semi just thinking about it. EDIT: Read the previous comment about Mbemba being injured. The thought of Colback scared the semi away faster than Maggie Thatcher in Playboy.
We're talking about Big Vurn being injured Mbemba is still fit as far as I know. The thing I like most about him in the DM role is he can comfortably cover Yedlin! More of a ------------------Darlow-------------- --------- Lascelles - Clark - Dummett -------------Mbemba------------ Yedlin---------------------------------------- --------- Diame - Shelvey Ritchie ------------------------------ Atsu -----------------Gayle --------------------
And he'll still be the first one back clearing the ball off the line! He's fast, he's skinny He makes Usain (Bolt) look silly YEDDDDDILIN
No need to risk upsetting the balance we see good enough to win these games as we are If it ain't broke don't fix it
Mbemba was far better in the ACON at CB than he was in midfield. Didn't suit him at all. He could prob do a job at this level and prob better than Colback. Be a massive fail there long term imo.
