Thanks very much Sooperhoop. 100,000 overseas visitors amongst a crowd of half a million watching the parade in Dublin. With the rugby tomorrow, busy weekend over here.
Tnx Sooper. While I think every country should celebrate their national day and I'm proud of the fact that our little country has consistently punched above its weight, I really hate all the diddley diddley rubbish that surrounds it.
Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone - in celebration, perhaps we should wear this kit for our match against Rotherham tomorrow? please log in to view this image
Nice to have a Bank Holiday although it's just another working day for me......but it's now just a day for people to go on the lash, been out and there were folk queuing up waiting for the pub doors to open, I know it's Cheltenham and the bookies and the bars will make a fortune today.........good job it's Saturday tomorrow and sore heads can be rested until the rugby kick off at 5...... Have a good one wherever you are.....
Wouldn't that be nice. Absolutely miserable day weather wise in the south west of Ireland. Feel sorry for those in the parades. There will be sick children tomorrow.
Not much better here in the Sunny South East Kerry, biting wind, at least the rain has held off so far.......
The rain held off here till about half an hour ago. Just back from walking the dog and got absolutely soaked. Good luck to Dr. Crokes in the football today and to Cuala in the Hurling. The Gooch is such a good player, he deserves as many all-Ireland's as possible.
Just said on the radio that the parades in Limerick, Galway and Mayo were cancelled due to the weather.........
Shodipo, Grego-Cox and Manning all included in the Ireland U21 squad for the qualifier V Kosovo on 25th March. Good news for our club.
I heard some of the parades in Mayo were cancelled out of respect for the 4 helicopter rescue crew lost in the tragedy off the Mayo coast earlier this week. RIP the crew of rescue 116.
Terribly sad that accident, 4 crew lost going out to help others. Brings back memories of the 4 rescue crew who were killed here in Tramore in July 99......RIP
Yes H.E. I always work on this day. Paddys Day is one of the busiest days of the year here for taxis with so many people in the City. I will also be working tomorrow as well. Both days it should be hopping. Tonight will be my 10th night on the trot working. Will take a couple of days off early next week and will celebrate Paddys Day then with a few beers.
