Have you got one of those. I would have thought it would only improve the part of Stoke you live in! :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Are we out already? No!

What we have is the domestic consumer splurging cash because they know belt tightening is coming when the **** hits the fan, and foreigner buyers placing orders before tariffs get applied.
This self inflicted bubble will actually make the slow down worse when we do leave.

its the same prediction that has been made since day one, a prediction that plenty of economists on both sides of the leave/ remain argument agree with. Sadly only time and experience will prove if its right or wrong. But IMO its not worth the risk.

    Oh look indeed...

The fall in the value of the pound since the Brexit vote in June has made UK goods cheaper for foreign buyers, but has also pushed up the cost of imports for UK companies.
Far too sensible for here <ok>

The pound is only about 6% lower now but firms have put up prices by 15/20 % in some cases using Brexit as an excuse for their greed, and yet things are still selling despite the EU,remainers and greedy firms not because of them.

Around $1.45 to $1.30, which feckin school of math's did you go to?

We've not left yet, do you think the exchange rate is going to get better or worse as we leave?
Think carefully before you answer this one...

You really aren't the sharpest knife in the cutlery drawer, are you? <doh> and double <doh><doh>

Euro figures are a decline from 1.31 to the current less than 1.16 - that's nearly 12% fall. That's actually slightly more of a fall than against the dollar numbers RCDM quoted.

Contrary to what you say the strong dollar has not been rising against the euro. It did rise during the winter but fell away sharply again as Trumps reign began and as his incompetence began to show.

Ooh very good, first sighting for a while of a Breximaniac blaming British industry for things going wrong.

I'm expecting a lot more of this when it really all goes tits up.
