They are desperate for a striker it seems. Brentford have rejected this but for them, I think it is good business. It may be tactical... but when an offer of that size for a club with the revenue of Brentford. In 2014/2015 they turned over £9.9m and made a £16.7m loss. Here is the financial info.... http://beesotted.co.uk/?p=17979 Other teams have a go at us using the parachute payments to have an unfair advantage but when fellow championship clubs are turning down daft cash like this I have no sympathy. For background, the previous record for a transfer form the Championship to the EPL is £6m.... which Palace paid Peterborough a couple of years ago for.......... Dwight Gayle...
Ooooh, compulsory yellow card for the Hulkster! Or is it a red for actually ripping your shirt off in celebration?
Let me tell you something brother, I feel like a pig. Ah man that was quality. Stopped a hummer to answer the phone in case it was his son. It would have been better had he said "Watcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you" before he started. Just remember people, eat your vitamins and say your prayers.
And while it wasn't a 24in python, he did have to testify in court that he did not have a 10in python
If the hammers secure an additional forward would it be fair to assume they may be selling a large pony (tailed) striker who could potentially replace Mitro/Murphy?
Agree. The only striker I'd go for (if available) in this window is Callum Wilson. If not, we should wait until promotion as our potential options will improve massively.
I wouldn't go that far as I believe we need firepower if we are shifting Mitrovic. Daft really as we have the firepower but the boss doesn't seem to know how to use it. Take one piece of his jigsaw (Shelvey) and he seems a bit lost. I think a bigger priority is No.10 even if short term. Judge has obviously been linked but you could just as easy go Wes Hoolahan as a to the end of the season option.
Apparently we're interested but they want £15m. Brentford in 14th now and well off play offs, late push unlikely, so I think they'd be tempted to sell. Doubt he'll go to West Ham, I think they'll be more likely to keep pursuing Defoe as that'll likely keep them up as it def relegate the mackems. Hogan looks the part, but we've got a surplus of strikers who never play atm, so I doubt he'll come to us.
It's a bit Pardew-y, sorry to say. We don't seem to have an array of options, tactically. I'm not hugely concerned, we're still in a very good place and to be perfectly honest should already have another 6 on the board (Blackburn and Forest away were refereeing tragedies). But if we can't be experimenting a bit now and putting teams to the sword more, what hope next season for staying up? We can't go into the PL with nothing but 4-2-3-1; unless you have genuine world class talent to pull you through. We have no world class talent, at all!
Wes Hoolahan would be a dream signing. Hogan is worth 5 mil max. A certain bencher if we get to the prem. Rhodes from Boro would be a better bet
It was on SSN mate. The Peterborough chairman then tweeted that the Gayle fee was actually just over £7m.
Sure there's been plenty around that figure. Sky reported Ulloa was £8m rising to £10m Only going to go up though with more and more money in Prem and teams in Champ getting richer via parachute payments etc. See Judge is being linked to Brighton & Newcastle, but saying he'd rather prove his fitness and leave on a free in summer than move in Jan, but club want him gone in Jan for a fee.
