It's probably not a pop but will most definitely be considered as one... Can't let it slide though... *their
New Fargo started last week, thought the other 2 seasons were good, recording and watch the new one in one lump so can't comment but not so sure about McGregor though.
Yeah think I saw something in a trailer, only 2 weeks in so stay away from reviews till it's finished. Are you watching it?
I like a lot of the Coen Brother's fillums, Barry Norman move over; Blood Simple - their first one and it was quite good but suffered from being low budget. 5/10 Crimewave - never seen it Raising Arizona - up there in my list of favourite films "Son, you got a panty on your head" 9/10 Miller's Crossing - superb, the acting, imagery etc Like Bugsy Malone for grown ups 9/10 Barton Fink - had its moments but didn't hit the mark for me 6/10 The Hudsucker Proxy - another hit and miss 5/10 Fargo - stunning, very understated performances in particular William H Macy 8/10 The Big Lebowski - where the Brothers really hit their stride, a masterpiece 9/10 The Naked Man - never seen it O Brother Where Art Thou - from the opening credits to the final scene nothing but awesome, sound track on my I-pod too 10/10 The Man Who Wasn't There - ever reliable Billy Bob Thornton, only real criticism is that he didn't schtupp Scarlett Johansson 7/10 Intolerable Cruelty - this sucked balls 2/10 The Ladykillers - never seen it but the original is an all-time classic which would be hard to match No Country for Old Men - hard film, Bardem was super-creepy. Only criticism was how Josh Brolin's pivotal character got such a "meh" ending 8/10 Burn After Reading - very much under the radar and unappreciated film, some top performances here 8/10 A Serious Man - it tried really hard to be funny but never quite got there for me 5/10 True Grit - very effective re-make of the John Wayne classic 7/10 Gambit - never seen it Inside Llewyn Davis - ditto Unbroken - ditto Bridge of Spies - ditto Hail, Caesar! - ditto There you have it, the most in-depth and thought provoking film reviews you are ever likely to see.
