United will turn their attention to signing 23-year-old Tottenham and England midfielder Eric Dier for a fee in the region of £50m once the Lukaku deal is completed. (Telegraph) £50 million.
And away from those outlets in thrall to Mourinho, United and all that............. http://www.football.london/tottenha...news/eric-dier-manchester-united-bid-13301245 He isn't for sale but that doesn't bring in the advertising money
The Evening Standard (edited by Chelsea fan George Osborne) are confidently predicting that Everton will overtake us this coming season based on the number of players they have signed this season, ignoring the fact that the player who scored 41% of their goals last season is set to leave - and given how adamant the Standard were last summer to trot out the "scoring goals in the Eredivisie doesn't count" Narrative after we signed Janssen, by their own logic shouldn't they be writing Klaassen off already instead of saying he'll pick up some of the slack left by Lukaku's departure?
Ridiculously, this bloke is a Spurs supporter. With fans like this, who needs Gooners? http://www.espn.co.uk/football/club...r-advances-may-be-spurs-most-pragmatic-option Jesus, why don't we give them Dele Alli as well, just to keep young Eric happy, so that United can get the best out of him? Idiot!

The idea of sticking in a cheeky offer for Spurs should be a good 'un. We've borrowed a huge sum of money and knowing when to offer to buy someone's development project when the originator has cashflow problems is a great business skill and meat and drink to investment houses. The problem with that strategy is that behind ENIC and its financial machinations is a majority shareholder with enough balls and greed to break the British and Mexican monetary systems and enough resources to sort Tottenham's new stadium out of his pocket change. So, the price is something that nobody would pay whilst Joe and Daniel are going through their plan. I wonder if there is an end game? The club's press release indicates we rejected the idea of financing the stadium by equity investment, so we're not actively looking for any equity partners and are currently very happy to be pricing ourselves out of a sale. Quite right too, until the gridiron franchise at the new stadium is confirmed. That's when the real value of 'New Tottenham Hotspur' will start to reveal itself. If there's real trouble in the meantime, then Uncle Joe will step in to protect a business that has been independently valued in excess of £1bn already. Only a raving idiot wouldn't do so. So, I would say that the only chance of a sale in the next few years is if a Zuckerberg (or an oil Gazillionaire) wanted to buy the club personally, money no object.

Todays' sparing you the click-bait summary : 1. One thing is getting me about the Foyth rumours: a week or two ago it was reported he had a £5m release clause, yet now the purported fee is £10m. Either one of these is wrong, or the pound is tanking so hard even the Argentine economy is in a position demand more money for assurances sake. Oh, and because we haven't been linked with a Monaco player for two weeks, we're now linked with Kamil Glik. Here's the short list of flaws with this story: * Glik's age (he turns 30 in February) * He only joined Monaco a year ago, so there's no wiggle room in negotiations * The sale of Silva (with Bakayako and Mendy likely to follow) mean Monaco can meet Ligue 1's FFP rules easily, so there's no wiggle room in negotiations * We were linked with Glik two years ago when he was at Torino...then signed Alderweireld
I can't work out if this guy is there for comedy purposes only. You'd think when he was told Son was Korean he'd just apologise. But no... Then he has some sad news to share which will come as some surprise to Michael Essien
I can only assume Darren "Holloway" is short for : Darren I have the intelligence of the supporter of a football club very close to Holloway Road.
