As is often the case at this time of year news stations have a filler looking back at the past year. TVNZ just did this and reeled off some significant sporting hoodoos that were broken this year in their reverse order. Cant remember them all but there were a couple of rugby ones (inevitable given I am in new Zealand), the Western Bulldogs winning the Aussie rules for the first time, Cronulla winning the NRL for the first time and the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in 108 years. But number one was of course Leicester City winning the Premier League. Times like that make you sit back and go 'wow, that was pretty awesome and at times still unbelievable'. Regardless of where we are now or where we end up, what a special year.
Its a great year, especially when you consider that last year we were just the 6th team to win the premier league. Going to be a year that will be remembered fondly for many years to come!
