Apparently Lazinev is now a non-runner, although I've heard from a good source that Trev the Cheat is likely to be announced the winner.
The weather is really good. I like this Ucello Conti more and more. Everytime he has encountered ground with good in the description he has one bar his prep run for this but he was giving Vieux 6lb that day and Elliott would have had him nowhere near fully tuned. If this thing gets round I definitely think it will be in the first 4. This Wounded Warrior is peaking my interest too though. Meade knows the time of day and he commented when it ran well over 3m and half in the RSA in 2015 he thought it was too short a trip on the ground suggesting he thought the ground wasn't a problem but the trip was. That was grade 1 form behind Don Poli. You can strike a line through much of his form since. Admittedly it takes a leap of faith in form terms but maybe this has just been about getting a few pound off his back. 11-2 is workable for an out and out stayer. 50/1 could be huge.
What about Lord Windermere too? Surely 50/1 for a Gold Cup winner is too big. Loves good ground, stays, has a two time winning GN jockey booked, has form this season, first time tongue tie to extract a bit more, tumbled down the weights. I think thats 7 I'm interested in now I do think Ucello Conti would be my pick. These lads at a bigger price though like Lord Windermere, Wounded Warrior, Cocktails at Dawn, Raz de Maree are great each way options.
Pouchy finally showing his true colours. All these years of online bravado and painting himself as a proper ladies' man, with a large wang - turns out all along he's just a fat, sad, greasy-haired, spotty, statto geek who has never spoken to a real woman in his life - and probably never will.
Right, bets are placed. For what it's worth - I think there are many horses capable of winning it this year to be fair. £50 spread around the following: To win outright: Highland Lodge 36 Cause of Causes 20 Vieux Lion Rouge 16.5 To be placed (top 4): Highland Lodge 8.2 Cause of Causes 6.2 Vieux Lion Rouge 6.8 One for Arthur 5.7 Highland Lodge is a bit of a risk but he has good form around Aintree so I'm rolling the dice.
You've never been racing have you? Many fine fillies, not all of them horses. Sport of kings not paupers fatty.
I have indeed been to the races, and the ones who study the form as much as you are complete tossers.
I'm putting in an objection. Two fences out and "winner" jumped into my horse which was leading at time, Blaklion. I would have won otherwise.
It's a real pity that pouchy's signal went just as he was doing his 40th top tip post of the day, it was going to be a special feature on One For Arthur. Honest.
