Shame Hudders didn't drop points, but I think most people would have expected them to win next week, they have far tougher games to come. (Commentators kept banging on bout Huddersfield's unbeaten league record - had a look back to see who was the last team to beat them was - as I thought, it was us!)
Shame about Huddersfield but they were always going to win that. Notts County were awful. Huddersfield have 3 of the next 4 away now though with their home game in that run against Peterborough. The commentary was very biased towards Huddersfield and Peterborough again. They were talking about those two as if they were the only clubs in the promotion race. I think we might have got a mention once
I have also noticed in commentary that generally everyone is ignoring Saints. I think they are people who know nothing about Div 1, take a quick look at the table, and make a snap judgement. Reminds me of the Premiership really.
The commentators are almost wishing us away from the fight. Huddersfield have a patchy record away from home and could come a cropper.
Saints have never been fashionable..we don't have a rent-a-quote manager, aren't strictly under-dogs and don't provide them with an easy 'story'. Brighton will give them a good story: terrific season, coming back from financial brink, new ground and well known manager.
That's funny because you could almost be talking about us. Only difference is that our ground is nearly new and NA has still to be revered. They have had a magnificent season and deserve to be where they are at the moment.
