Fish is some rank slimy thing from the sea
Why would you want to eat that?

Young Bob's is a lot better than Mucky Bob's. The one across from Bass House. They both do onion and I think cucumber in vinegar. Used to be two big bowls on the counter anyway, one of which was onion.

Edit: Friary is probably the best of the chippies in the town centre now. Sadly missing the onion in vinegar though.

Can't beat the company of a rescue dog. Have to use a mobility scooter to get any distance. Means mine gets long walks up the clifftops, fish and chips on seafront, pull into local on the way back where landlord always has a bowl of water and some bits of meat from the kitchen for him.

Though next time treat yours to fish from Inghams. <laugh>

When I was a kid I'd sometimes make 'quick' pickled onions - slices of white onion in a bowl of malt vinegar.

Have you tried Foxhounds at Flixton? They do decent fish and chips and have a take away service.

I've just eaten cod in a tomato and basil sauce with a baked sweet potato. Very nice it was.
