<peacedove>Jurgen Klopp just put to bed the rumour about Joe Hart, surely not coming to Liverpool.
Sky Sports News HQ reported on Wednesday that Liverpool are not actively looking to recruit a goalkeeper in this summer's transfer window
Most of us are not very comfortable with Simon Miggnolet between the sticks.
Loris Karius has not proved himself beyond doubts either.
Cross road, but I think Klopp is having some faith in Simon Mignolet.
If we are in champion league next season as most of you are expecting, and we want to challenge for the utmost price in the league, can we rely on Simon Mignolet as number one?

    Definitely no to Joe Hart.

I think Migs has shown positive signs in improving his all around game.

After a shaky start, Karius put in a few decent performances when called up on.

I'm still not convinced by Migs - he has stilled made mistakes this season and I feel we are holding him to a lower standard now. I really would like to bring in another goalie to replace him as I don't think he has the mentality to play at the top level.

I'm fairly happy with what we have and there are other areas that need improving.

Other than the recognised top keepers who won't be moving any time soon, any replacement keeper will be a risk. Is Mignolet good enough, not sure, but playing well atm. Let's wait till January to see whether or not it's a permanent improvement.

It's not a priority. Could they be improved on? Yes.. but get in a good LB and a couple of CMs and should help us out defensively. Neither have been horrendous with Mig certainly improving. One to look at maybe next summer but this year we have other issues.

I think Klopp will give it another season. If things haven't stayed consistent and reliable in goal then I'm sure he will look for a new solution.

As above. Other areas need addressing as the priority.

Simon Mignolet. is now improving, goalkeepers get better after 30 years, and he is just around, that.

    Our side is desoerately thin.

Spending masses on a keeper now is foolish.

Finding a gem is always possible so we need to keep looking.

Mig has improved a lot recently. He's much better at dominating his box, coming for the ball and taking out friend or foe if they get in his way. All keepers drop a clanger now and again, and he will at some stage - the crucial thing is how he reacts. Those who have no faith in him will all over him for it, and it remains to be seen how he handles that.
Like with all players, there's little point in a sideways move. Replace him only with a distinct improvement - not Joe Hart.

Think Ming has massively improved and has taken all the criticism on board.

Could be our most underrated player of the season.

Klopp bought Loris Karius with the promise of being number one keeper, now he is not playing.Doubt if he would stay.

We have to be careful with Migs - because the level of how much he has improved by is different to the level we need him at.

He has shown a lot of improvement but that is compared to his low standards. He's now operating at a higher standard but is that good enough for what we need.

Agree with most - I would target other areas first such as LB, CB's and CM's. Some attackers wouldn't go amiss either

Migs & Karius are decent enough, the problem is you need to have absolute trust in your keeper. Do our player fully trust Migs or Karius? I doubt it.

Easier for a defence to gain the trust of a keeper then the other way around

Any goal that goes in, people look at the goalkeeper first. Your goalkeeper is as good as your back four.

I dunno, there has been a lot of goals this season we are only looking at our defenders

A lot of individual goals conceded this could have been blamed on midfielders, defenders or keepers, there have been far too many that have gone from a multitude of errors

Maybe Simon Mignolet's improved performance is due to the goalkeeping coach.
