Well someone on Gaschat thinks Curci isn't as good as MIldenhall Um I think playing in Serie A and in Europe is slightly better then playing your whole career in the lower English leagues. Has Mildy ever played higher then League 1? I'll be glad when he's gone just don't get the love in with him average keeper at best. "But I'm not a pessimist I like to take people as they come and a bench warmer in the Series A and Bundeliga SHOULD be better than the current keepers currently on the books.( Mildenhall apart of course, went is he expected to be fit?)"
Curci has played149 Seria matches 24 cup appearances and has played 15 European matches, Don't think Mildenhall or Puddy can match that record
Just sign him now before he goes elsewhere..better than what we have now!! It's about time we had a decent goal keeper.. Then sort out the defence!!
although he has been with 'big clubs'. he has slipped down pecking order and not played in the heat of battle recently. Yes , we do seem to need a new keeper, but not one who has lost confidence.
It makes a big difference to the players out front if they don't have to worry about a dodgy keeper. The sooner we get a really safe pair of hands the better.
Central league game at the Lawns tomorrow 12-00 K / O, might be selected for that to judge him in match situation opponents Newport
Indeed. But he is also on trial so im not sure why he wasnt involved. Trialists can play in these games. Maybe he has gone already or injured?? I say get in a GK on loan who has experience, like when we signed Mildenhall on loan. If we cant find someone by our next game then sign Curci for the remainder of the season. We been told today by Hargreaves that our youth keeper Hodges can easily step up and be our number 2 keeper. I personally wouldnt be happy with Puddy as number 1 and Hodges as number 2 for the rest of the season. Would you be happy with that?
I think Puddy is a decent enough Number 2 at this level. Someone on Gaschat actually posted something quite interesting (for once) maybe he didn't play against Newport today because he's playing Saturday
But are they prepared to warm our bench on the off chance of getting a game or would they prefer to keep the bench warm where they are
