image: Genoa want Mannone to solve the Serie A club's injury crisis. The mid-table side's number one Mattia Perin is out for the season with a torn ACL and the club have made contact with former Arsenal stopper as his immediate replacement. Genoa's only other keeper is backup Eugenio Lamanna, who has barely played since joining the club in 2008 – and boss Ivan Juric wants to lure Mannone back to his homeland. Mannone moved to England in 2005 to join Arsenal, where he played a handful of games, before finding success at Sunderland. 20 million and he's Genoa's That tribal football are absolute bollox as well mind, they never get a ****ing thing right
We have Mika and Star Trek, with Pickford coming back in a couple of months. I wouldn't argue to much if he let him go, as long as we got a good deal out of it.
I doubt we'd get much for him and he's on good form so keep him. I don't fancy relying on the other lads in our perilous position, not including Pickford of course who I'm not including because of his injury.
It depends on Pickford for me, if he's back soon then I'd be ok with that or even a bit less. Having a bit of a mind blank on when he's expected back.
I reckon we'd be lucky to get half of that. Not because he's **** or anything, I just can't see anyone paying more than about £3/4m. If we got £10m+ wor Davie would be driving him personally to Genoa with Ellis in the passenger seat giving him the directions.
Maybe they think that because Torino got Joe Hart for nowt, it's only fair we pay them to take Vito. Totally agree with your assumption that we'd only get offered a nominal fee for him.
Can't see us getting anywhere near that, have it in my mind that his contract is up soon (either this summer or next?) but could be wrong on that. Pickford is out until end of Feb IIRC, I'd be loathe to let Mannone go this window given that both our backup options are completely untested at this level.
I don't think we'd get offered that either I was just trying to say it would take that sort of offer to let him go, obviously didn't get my point across very well.
Genoa's got an injury crisis ! I feel sorry for them hehe. If we can get Mig back from Liverpool yes.
I reckon you're right, i just don't see us getting £10m for him mate. Italians usually don't pay big money, my guess is closer to £5m tops and DM will knock it back. Would be a good indication just how skint and desperate the club are.
Ever thought of being a diplomat Monty? Brexit beckons. "You can`t have access to the single market without freedom of movement" "Well **** off then"
