Says the man who's team have bought 5 Southampton rejects in the last few years And yes, they were rejects, as Southampton are showing now, when they want to keep a player they do. They considered the money you gave them more value than the players they let you have
Could have bought him as well as Rooneys wages too as cash isnt a problem the right side of the park Hows the VVD and Keita dream going?
I hope we've got a new striker in place before Stoke at home next week. We looked short of a yard last night across the entire side, still pre season but we need a big week in training to sharpen up before the big KO What's your early thoughts on Klaassen? I'm not sure what he's supposed to be as yet, too early to make judgements on him as a buy, but I can't say I've been impressed in the 3 games I've seen him in the shirt.
I'm worried that we don't have a top notch slotter in the squad. I'd be prioritising that over Sigurdsson if I was Koeman tbh.
I think Siggy is because Ross has said he wants out... As far as Striker its who is available but that was always going to be a problem.. Looks to me like we are going for more goals across the team more than one guy? I hope things click and fitness etc improves as its not going well so far
I'd be surprised if you aren't after another striker as you seem light there ,despite my view that Sandro looks one of the best value transfers of this window* & Calvert-Lewin looking a decent prospect, and surely you want a first choice CF (if possible in this market). *at £5m Sandro can be ****e but will still look decent value after the lunacy of this window
Word on the web is Vermahlen, Welbeck and Sigurdsson. Would I be happy with Welbeck? He offers the same as DCL, willing runner and ability to play left or right in a three. But would be excite?

So the new season is here, and I can't wait for KO today. A bit disappointed that we've not landed the replacement for Lukaku yet, and I'm slightly concerned about where the goals are coming from without a focal point in that side, but I love the opening day fixture at home. The news that they've volleyed Chang is a bonus
A truly awful first half performance that was lit up by one piece of great football. Koeman got his team selection and tactics wrong, but he sorted it at HT and we were much better second half. As for the new signings here's my view based solely on what I saw yesterday; Pickford - this lad oozes confidence and despite not being the tallest commands his box well, even when faced with Stokes collection of grocks he was dominant at set peices. His save at the end was superb. I was sat right behind the line of the shot and imo last season that hits the net. Keane - solid, attacks the ball well, won virtually everything in the air. Good debut Klaasen - meh, not sure what this lad is supposed to be, looked lost most of the time, contributed little, a poor start and hooked on the hour Sandro - busy little player works his socks off, but for me he'd be more effect either as a wide attacker of supporting a target man Martina - played the full second half, did OK defensively but he looks terrified of taking anyone on going forwards and just plays the ball off. With Kenny sat in the background I don't get this signing tbh.
Feel just the same. Klaasen has the ability, but looked a little lost, maybe Rooney dropping deeper at times didn't help his space. The two moments of magic happened right in front of me. Calvert Lewis impressed again for me, he runs and breaks the line. He has some development but keeps us positive in the final third with his pace
