Another gash performance from all involved, listening to it only Robles comes away with any credit, keeping it from being a cricket score
Errrmmm No mate. He came away from it with zero credit either. The first goal was a crap freekick which went into virtually the centre of the goal, and didn't take a deflection. It was an embarrassing **** up from him. The 2nd he stood on his line Howard'esque throwing his hands in the air as a CB volleyed in from 6 yards.. The 3rd was a corner which flapped at and it was smashed in. In short he was total gash last night.
Ok started with a draw then... Should have scored more than the one goal in the first half and tired badly 2nd i thought we would struggle as our fitness has been spoken about by Koeman.. Still atleast we havent started off badly with Williams in and fitness improving onwards and upwards
Gueye was ****ing brilliant mate If Geri had slotted that chance right on half time we'd have won the game, but I was impressed with our work rate and organisation, we wer ****ed after about 70 mins though which highlights Koemans point We were playing a quality side and would have lost that game under the Catalan clown, so I'm happy
You looked like a quality side today. I rated Koeman at Southampton, and he seems to have greatly improved you in very little time. I was apalled by the first half when you dominated and our decision making was awful. I ended up feeling okay about the game. We drew with everybody above a certain level, it seemed, and we drew one more without our bellweather player. We have a plan B, Lamela looks like he is going to have the year many of us were hoping. Interesting game in that I thought you had a clear edge in run of play, but we created a few more/dangerous chances and scored the only goal from open play. If our keepers were switched, we would have won, I thought. But I’d be very encouraged if I were an Everton fan.
Tobes and co, I know there is a Saints-Everton wind-up going on but this is not a drill, Stek might have made an actual save yesterday (shock) but you can't keep him for a whole season. I don't even rate Joe Hart but you need to sign him right now.
He played well yesterday, but I'm certain Koeman doesn't see him as first choice, we'll be buying a keeper in the next couple of weeks. Can't say I'm overly impressed with the Hart rumours though, but they've been rumbling for a couple of months now.
He has the big name that some may want and at 29 has at least 6 good years left......in fact he should be hitting his best years. Rather the £30m sent on him than the lad from Palace
I like Bolasie not at the money quoted mind... If rumours are to believed we could end up with Hart Bolasie Kone and Mata.. I'm with Tobes on Hart not really convinced by him tbh
With not really seeing Kone play I couldn't comment on him, but I am sure the manager has plans for all he brings in. The lad from Villa looks a good un
Gueye excellent on debut? 7 tackles considering no Everton CM made more in any PL game under Martinez last season. Could be a ball-winning machine.
Yeah he was great mate, quite a pleasant surprise tbh, as most Blues had seen us signing a lad from Villa, and were a bit meh about it. Looks like Walsh's first piece of good business based on his debut.
More impressed with his faith in Holgate and the performances he has been rewarded with. If watching Rhinos lads last season and you thought he wouldn't make it, you need your bumps feeling
