Rats and sinking ships comes to mind. Allardyce, Moyes and now Silva - Hull City manager resigns after the club's relegation. Some snippets from today’s BBC Footie Gossip - Brighton hope to beat Newcastle to the loan signing of 19-year-old Tammy Abraham. Now let me see – Brighton or Newcastle ….... Former club captain Nigel Pearson is expected to get the Middlesbrough job, but Garry Monk is also a candidate after resigning from Leeds United. Former Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka is the favourite to replace Monk at Elland Road. Derby want to sign Burnley winger George Boyd on a free transfer, with the 31-year-old Scotland international yet to agree a new deal with the Clarets.
I can't figure out for sure which team you mean it's obvious to go to? Newcastle are a bigger club with 50000 fans to play in front of and have a good chance of staying up. And probably could pay more Brighton is a nicer place, more chance of game time. But more likely to get relegated, lesser budget for pay. managed by Hootun..... Newcastle it is then! Bah!
I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it this morning. Either is a serious upgrade from Bristol City. Far more opportunity to shine and make a name for himself on the south coast
Wilkins thinks that failure to appoint a British coach shows lack of respect to them. Cites Giggs and Monk as being available. Monk resigned after we appointed DF, and Giggs? He may get a gig (sic) at somewhere like Hartlepool one day, but nothing above that level until he has learned the ropes.
I left it open, as I'd struggle to decide, but for progression in my career, I'd choose Newcastle. However, if he's got a WAG .....
Wife or Girlfiriend would make more sense. Then again, maybe not (WOR). In any case I think it'd be a loan, so Brighton would make more sense to me.
I heard that too this morning! P*ssed me off. The first time we appoint a foreign manager in our history, and get that comment about not giving British managers a chance. Bloody Idiots. First time I've nearly rang in to a radio station.
For anyone with BT Sport. They seem to be showing previous FA Cup finals all morning/day. I've got Man City Vs Wigan from 2013 on atm. Good idea.
