Sad end to the story. Shame to see this happen after such an amazing time for the club and players. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39045017
He was obviously just there for the dressing room motivation and doing jobs around the place because he had been there so many years. He's 46. I was thinking more for the fact it's taken the sheen off it for the club to now have this story dominating the day after the biggest match in their history.
I knew I'd seen that guy somewhere before he used to play for Chelsea back in the day, round about the same time Dave was playing custodian
I watched the other game last night - that, too was a cracker! Finished Bayer 04 Leverkusen 2 - 4 Atlético Madrid. Fernando Torres scored for Madrid, remember him? £50 million smackers
I'm watching a re-run of the whole match at the Etihad as I recorded it. I love Monaco, they have so many fantastic players, so really wanted to see them play (as well as seeing the result). Mbappe, Lemar, Sidibe, Glik, Bakayoko, Fabinho, Bernardo Silva. They are going to have such trouble holding on to all them. What is really strange to see, first 10 minutes. City pass it around the back 4 and GK so much, and they all look like they have never touched a football before. They all look petrified. Pep obviously keeps them wanting to play this way, they just don't have good enough, or technically good enough players to do it.That must be one of the main reasons they have been such an enigma this season.
Talking of sides I love, because of their wealth of world class young players: Leicester in for a tough night tonight against Sevilla. Might have to try and watch that. Vietto, Ben Yedder, Ganso, Nasri, Kranevitter, N'Zonsi, Correa, Sarabia, Vitolo, Carrico, Vazquez. Leicester better not bring their League form!!
So, Porto, Juventus, Sevilla and Leicester have work to do to emulate last night's 14 goals between the two matches Don't understand why Man bloody United are in Europa League 'action' on a Champions League evening of football? Thought they were all played on a Thursday?
