I think a certain party are worried about Channel 4's debate tonight - they have emailed their MPs telling them to tweet these five attack lines against Corbyn during tonight's debate.

Could be fun with this having been leaked to the opposition...:)

As the polls narrow, and the margin of victory is being down graded, the knives are being sharpened by Tory MPs. Having seen forecasts that in the worst case there could be a hung parliament, they are already talking about who could replace her. I doubt it will get that bad for her, but goodness knows what would happen to the Brexit talks.

Saying 'no deal is better than a bad deal' 4 times will win the May the election. But she is a weathercock who believes in very little.

I may not agree with @jeremycorbyn but he came across as being totally sincere. Paxman didn't score any goals .

    True......

Paxman was just out to score points... another failure to debate policies.

May comes across as the stronger of the two and uses her authority and presentation to cover a dearth of detail

Corbyn wins on policy but seems to struggle with his words when challenged.

Struggling with words can come over very well Yorkie - you come over as 'one of the people'. It is also much easier for a ruling PM. to come over with authority.

None of this will happen. The thought of Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott running the country will bring people to their senses and provide the Tories with an increased majority.

You may be right, but the fact that Tory MPs are talking about it shows they are having doubts about the campaign.

There will be no challenge to May, she is the best person to lead the Brexit team.

Which part do you describe as daft, the challenge or rating her as the best lead negotiator?

Simply an assertion with no basis in fact or comparison with any other.

    ..it is virtually meaningless...................

You are like Corbyn, unable to answer a question. I'm quite happy to revisit this later to see whose post was daft, mine or yours. :emoticon-0116-evilg

After Corbyn's decent display last night he had a 'Diane Abbott' car crash interview this morning on childcare where he was unable to remember the proposed costs.

At last we are getting somewhere. She is the leader of the cabinet and one of several experienced negotiators dealing with EU subjects. She has a reputation for being a firm and detailed and effective negotiator. The UK government obviously thinks she is the best person for the job, any alternative can only come from the present or future Tory cabinet, do you have a better one in mind?

A leading politician trying to be taken seriously for the most important job in the UK should have the financial details of his own manifesto. His fumbling only accentuates the image of incompetence the current Labour shadow cabinet suffers from.

As long as he was satisfied with the financial details does it really matter whether he remembers them to order. As long as he knows them when it matters. I have no problem with a PM. who occasionally forgets things as long as it's not done on purpose. Just think - a person who always tells the truth does not have to have a memory - only liars need to be good at remembering things.

The figures are just plucked out of the air. After the election they will not matter anyway. As with the Diane Abbott car crash interview it does make them look incompetent.
