    about time innit mods??

I'm sure we'll all be respectful and sensible with each other's points of view.

I think the Tories will win by a landslide. Corbin's unelectable. The libs too.
Mays looked really poor imho on the stump. She's been wise calling an early election.
One of the most disappointing elections I can remember.
None of them inspire, or is that just me.

    Thoughts lads and lady's??
And keep it nice, you aren't going to Change anyone's mind <ok>

I've a feeling we'll go through the whole election process and end up where we started - a small Tory majority.

Although May will feel vindicated as she'll have a mandate as PM.

Corbyn might well be unelectable but I think he's got more principle than all the rest put together. May will do/say anything as long as she keeps her job. But you're right it's all very uninspiring.

    Nice enough? :emoticon-0100-smile

I hope corbyn wins but it's obviously a tory win

I hate how the voting system works though

Would prefer it was just a direct vote for who you want to be the leader instead of this constituency stuff

Hmmm...depends on your principles I suppose...

Meeting the IRA, then denying it, then being forced to admit it when photographic evidence comes to light.
    Elastic principles.
I see the Abbopotamus has twagged another media interview again, a debate with Amber Rudd.
She does seem prone to these sudden illnesses, doesn't she?
Perhaps she is being crooked by her former lover Corbyn as he realises she can't do the math or doesn't do the detail.
Prescott was a giant among politicians compared to these chancers.

I'm voting for myself. The whole thing is a farce. The tories campaign is basically don't vote for labour, labours campaign is basically let's tax the rich for the sake of it and spend it on a fairly pointless fantasy Christmas list, Dianne Abbott having a job is a total piss take and an insult to everyone who works hard and takes their job seriously. Both the big parties are more interested in slagging off each other and coming out with a load of bollocks, the rest are just pointless votes except for in very particular constituencies.

Nobody represents the average earning normal people, we'll end up getting shafted by any of them. That's why I'm writing my own name on my ballot paper.

Politics in this country are a joke and a total embarrassment to a supposedly modern, developed nation. It's more like a pantomime.

I've been a life long Labour supporter but the thought of those 3 ****s in power as PM, chancellor and Home Secretary leaves me cold.

Corbyn should have stuck to being a professional protester and pain in the arse of the Labour leader, the terrorist hugging ****.

Abbott should **** off and find sommat else to do.

McDonnell should **** off to China.

Can't bring myself to vote Lib Dems.

At least the Torys won't let the EU **** us over.

    Meh.

Would be great to see Michelle Dewberry get elected for so many reasons: a genuine Independent, breaking the Labour grip on this city, someone who doesn't feel constrained to vote along party lines.
She seems to have a sound grip of what local people want ( as opposed to what Islington or Knightsbridge want), and speaks her mind.

Could have sworn I saw her out campaigning in town one afternoon in this season's City shirt. She is putting in the hard yards on the campaign trail, seen her campaigning the other Sunday down Lonny.
Alan Johnson was an excellent MP, but Hull needs a fresh input.
If she did get elected, I have no doubt whatsoever that her life would be made very difficult up here and she would become a target for the vested political interests who regard this area as their personal fiefdom.
