He scores his 20th goal of the season. It's not been done since Alan Shearer. Congrats to the little fella.

Rafa's reported the same day that he's pulled a hamstring. Not too sure of the exact extent of the damage, but you can't rush them.

So that's him and Mitro out until Feb at least. I wasn't too concerned with Mitro, but this bloke is massively important to our momentum. We've got a proven replacement, in Daryl Murphy. But we're now down to bare bones up front.

Need to get shopping for strikers and an alternate creative midfielder to bolster Shelvey

Shame Mitro is not fit, this would have been a great opportunity. We need a striker and number 10 due to rafas obsession with this formation

The second half of this season is going to be a right slog isn't it?

Any team with their 1st and 2nd choice strikers is going to find it difficult. We do have some cover that should see us OK in this league but I agree it could be a bit of a slog. Gayle has been proper good really. Cannot argue with the amount of goals he's been bagging. We have easily the best striker in the league there.

Murphy has played twice and scored twice, if i'm not mistaken so he looks like a decent purchase.

With Perez and Diame I'm hoping we'll have enough.

Don't think we need to buy another striker, but another creative midfielder is essential.

You caught us just in time. The week on week improvement since has been clearly visible. Should have put five on derby on friday. We will push you and or brighton closer than i thought. If we had not wasted august with cellino been a cnut and having no preseason we would be right with you. Our form since september is as good if not better than yours.

Fortunately next 3 games shouldn't be a problem, Birmingham I'd actually quite like us to lose so that we can concentrate fully on the league, and if we discount that, it's only Rotherham and QPR before Feb 4th, neither of which should be a massive challenge for us, and Murphy and Perez should be OK cover for them games.
