The business with Eva Caneiro was just revolting, and many of us said so at the time, way before there was any connection to United. I also remember his yapping dogs in the media, like Fatty Samuels at the Mail, backing him at first out of sheer teeny-bopperism, but distancing themselves when they realised they were behind the curve. He's Tony Pulis with a chequebook, nothing more. The difference is that Pulis isn't a **** with it.

As much as I would prefer it if we were in the champs league next year - how the hell are we going to cope with the amount of games. If we cannot defend and have limited options on the bench now we'll be even worse next year.
This next week is pivotal and should make it clearer. Come monday, before the Watford game city and utd will be level with pool on games played. I'd expect to be behind City and possibly Utd too if they get some kind of result in the derby. Watford game is must win or we end up relying on utds and arsenals tough run in to scrape 4th. I reckon 3rd is fooked now unless cty lose the derby and implode.
Exactly, I think people make too big a deal about the handful of extra games one plays. The rewards for outshine the handful of extra games. The games only start ratcheting up if you make it deep in the knockouts. 9/10 if you do, you've got a good enough side to handle it anyway.
No. City smash Utd. Need Utd to get zero points. A draw and Utd are theoretically ahead of us when you include games not played.
yup it is all about attracting players and revenue to pay them.. not really about games unless you foucs on one or other. The real thing is you decide out of resources: a) can you support league cup comp.... or do you go and play kids there cos the league is more important b) can you support fa cup early on... based again on is league cup on in january for you.. or who you are playing in CL (if still in it) The reality of CL is the seeding is all important. If you are say 2nd seed you have a very different comp to the 3rd seeds (us) a 1st or second seeding means basically there are 4 games you must win. 4th seed = 6 points, must get them but should be pretty easy. 3rd see not so easy but you need 4 points there.. home win.. draw away.. instantly you are through. so it never works that easy but there realy is no excuse for any top 4 enlgish side to find itself suddenly 8th or 10th just cos of 6 games in cl.
yes but utd have to play spurs yet... and have those injuries. you are right they would be having it in their own hands if its a draw but the question is if you have confidence they will smash all opposition half on her have been waiting for utd to hit the wall but using our experiences of past 2/3 years in making that call.. Utd have a far larger squad that is more capable and have no issues with europe, not really. It is the injuries that matter.
If the derby is a draw or utd win we would still need one of them to drop more points. After yesterday's cluster fook it's no longer in our hands!
