.. only in cold Northen climes I'm afraid mate ... a team not even in Europe playing one that just scraped into the Europey league ... all that's at stake here is the bragging rights over who has the worse economy meat cuts stew ... scouse or Lancashire hot-pot
And while we're being pedantic, Manchester isn't part of Lancashire, so swap your hotpot for Manchester Tart.
Hope Pool smash the ****s. Just to see Maureen's meltdown. WBA win over spurs with Berahino bagging a hat-trick ? Maybe with Chadli gettng a couple too ?
Arsenal v Swansea...new gaffer for Swansea...how did they do at the Emirates last year? I see a draw.
Bit of an odd choice to have that as the Monday game, isn't it? They can't pick Champions League sides, obviously, but Man Utd have still got the Europa League. Liverpool, Fenerbahce and Chelsea in 7 days, followed by Man City on the Wednesday? Ferguson wouldn't have had that. Chelsea v Leicester sees Ranieri back at the Bridge. Early game on Saturday, so they'll have plenty of rest for midweek. Will they be distracted by their European exploits? Probably not. FC Copenhagen at home? 3 more points, I think. City v Everton will be an interesting one. How will Guardiola react to his first loss, having had some time to brood about it? The proper Scousers look good this season, if a little inconsistent at times. Koeman's made a strong start. Strong enough to go the The Etihad and win, though? Tough one. Our visit to West Brom's a potential banana skin. Pulis and his anti-football have caused us numerous problems in the past. Chadli will be well up for it and they're dangerous on set-pieces, where we look a little vulnerable. Lots of players away for the internationals, too. Hopefully Pochettino will still get a result, though. Palace v West Ham? Pardew will be desperate to win against one of his old clubs. Pacy, tricky wingers and lots of threats on set-pieces and the break. Probably not what you want when you're off form. The break may have helped.
Why is United & Liverpool on a Monday night anyway? Surely letting the fans get tanked up all day isn't the best idea. I thought they always played these games earky ko's like other rivalries.
I set them up PNP... It was a serious point as well though, I don't remember a.league game between them before being played in the evening. Ditto Newcastle Sunderland or Saints Pompey etc.
It's a very bad idea, I agree. It's been quite bad tempered off the pitch in recent years, too. Lots of dodgy crap in the buildup and animosity about who'll finish higher in mid-table.
