    Next up, home to Fulham.

Can we FINALLY put two wins together, hosting Fulham boxing day which I'd imagine would see an improved gate - perhaps 19,000 +.

Fulham are in decent form - unbeaten in 4 with 8/12. Can we take the points?

Will Mick rotate it around slightly, bring McGoldrick in from the off? Will he play him with Williams for the first time?

He will certainly drop young Dozzell for another six months...

I was going to spend £120 on tickets for Boxing Day but then I decided that I wanted to be entertained so I've spent £17 for a family ticket to watch some horse racing! Beats watching Micks old nags any day! <ok>

Reading about the game, Dozzell was supposedly very decent first 20 but then faded badly and off the pace, picked up a silly booking due to a lack of strength. I have no doubt the lads a talent, but is he as ready as some feel at this specific moment in time. My inclination is no and that he's being managed quite well.

Still, when he was an unused sub at Brentford and we made 2 subs that was a bloody joke and I feel he could have had a few more goes this season to date. We'll see, he's clearly a talent and the sky appears the limit.

Can't argue with that Warky. Our ticket prices are an absolute disgrace, at least Milne is hinting that something is going to be done for next season on this matter.

Talking of which, we're allowed four " special offer " promotional games per season. I cannot recall us doing a £10 one this yet?

    19,000?
Think you underestimate the level of lack of interest and bad feeling at Portman road. I would say about 16,000 will turn up to watch another piss poor match!

My inclination is to think that Skuse, Douglas, Knudson and Chambers arent quite ready for first team football yet either!!

I am back in the UK for xmas, was going to go on boxing day but have decided to go down the pub instead!
That is how bad it has got, normally i would be getting excited at the prospect of watching my beloved town but i honestly couldn't give a **** under the current regime. I just hope things change pdq before the lack of interest is permanent!

My thoughts entirely Spanish but you know that you wont walk away as its in the blood! We support Ipswich Town not the Manager and we will support the Town long after he has fooked off! <ok>

Just going by Boxing Day / opening day and last gate of season always being much bigger gates and our seat plan having a few red areas for once as opposed to orange and blue. Always get 1500 / 2000 more boxing day.

Out of interest Spanish how often do you get back to the UK these days?

I remember you playing Fulham on Boxing Day back in eighteen hundred and frozen to death and it went spectacularly wrong for you boys, on the receiving end of a double figure defeat! <yikes>

Westy, in the 12 years we have lived here, i have been back 6 times, of which 4 have been in the last two years. We went 8 years without going back! Annoyingly, the last two times i have been back, coincided with the bloody international break. Mind you, i probably got lucky tbh!

Haha yeah potentially - nothing beats going though, especially to a London away day. Fulham 2-1 in the 14/15 season was absolutely fantastic, great atmosphere and a win. Nothing beats it.

Have to say with living in Bristol I've rarely gone to Portman Road bar the Norwich game which is obviously a lot of fun. Went to Bristol City 2-2 last season, north stand lower and the " atmosphere " was absolutely dreadful. Guess I'm just used to away days with people getting a lot more involved.

By all accounts westy, the atmosphere at Portman road and now even at away games, is very toxic!
Fans arguing and even fighting amongst themselves.
The problem is, you seem to have two definate and passionate groups, the Mick out camp seem to hate him with a vengeance and want him gone at all costs, the Mick backers think he is being badly treated and think he is a great manager that will turn it around. I have never known a manager to divide the fans so much!

I have to say like Mick or hate Mick, his hands are tied to a massive extent in terms of transfers. I cannot argue with other things but it seems to me, no matter who we have incharge we're not throwing much £££££ at it or going to make our managers life easy.

In a nutshell this season for me is summed up by Murphy out the door late enough in the window for me to be absolutely 100% convinced Mick thought he was staying otherwise there is no chance in hell we'd have only brought in Leon Best or Mick would have allowed that.

I think behind the scenes the club is being ran at the moment like a bloody joke frankly and we as fans deserve so much more.

Take 14/15 - automatic promotion in January and spend £150k on Sears. I mean, sure that was a good move by the club but then was the time to act and financially we COULD have gambled more than in 04/05 when we were top, signed Unsworth on loan and couldn't afford to spend 1p :(

Just feels we're going nowhere fast and sure - Mick could go in January and someone else could have a crack at the reigns. Sure, people would come back and we'd probably get gates for a while in the 20,000s, play better footy and the feel good factor back to Portman Road which we'd all love. Problem moving forwards for them is a total lack of investment from Evans, and a summer of basically scouting various leagues and trying to get Webster / Ward to us. Problem with that is we're competing with probably 12 or more clubs to get the same kind of players in. I'm just not happy with the club at all right now!

In a nutshell this sums up Mick's total lack of foresight and a coherent plan.Even assuming we kept Murphy and he got injured, what then? One of Mick's biggest faults in my mind is that he is completely reactive to circumstances instead of trying to think ahead. One of the prime example was when Hyam was sent off last Season, the lad made a horrendous tackle and had clearly lost the plot when the opposition were winding him up.What would any sensible manager do?Sub him asap, but not Mick,no that was not in his script notes,so he ploughs on regardless.Same against Cardiff after the sending off,he ploughs on with the same game plan ,he just does my head in!
