Don't need her on the box during football. I want to watch the game not inseminate her in my thoughts. I like 4pm Sunday kick offs..brilliant to have something to look forward to on a Sunday tea time. I wouldn't want to watch Spurs on Friday night. Too early in the weekend for me.
As someone who never goes to away games anyway I don't mind it. As others have said presents an opportunity to watch a game after work on Friday either at the ground or in the pub - personally I think Monday Night Football is far more intrusive, at least Friday nights legitimately qualify as the weekend, and surely MNF is much much worse for away fans.
For me in Oz a Friday kick off would be ideal. At the mo the 9 hour time difference means 8pm kick of is 5am here - just bearable for a Saturday morning And when we change the clocks the 8pm would become 7am even better. Currently the 3pm ko is midnight here, becomes 2am when the clocks change makes it difficult to watch live. So that said it seems that it is designed for the overseas market not the local one.
We used to have premier league games on a Friday before. Prefer them to Sunday games. Don't really have a problem with them, but first choice will always be 3pm Saturday.
Chelsea host Liverpool on the 16th, as they're both too **** to be in Europe. Hopefully they'll have sorted the format out a bit by then.
Then isn't the "format" : Sky 4 darlings who are currently too **** to be in Europe, can play on friday ??
I think they should only have local derbies on Fridays. Liverpool v Everton Sunderland v Middlesbrough Chelsea v Manchester United West Brom v Asto Oops
