Off Topic Friday Music, a song you just like to listen to..

Exactly that, after a few beers or whatever, a song just to play loud through the headphones and forget about everything..

This is mine, a classic, been around me for 30+ years now, superb guitarist, brilliant band..

Got to admit Joe one of my favorite records is Brothers in arms.

 

This is Knopfler doing it solo much later but I love this version....Enjoy mate..

Always feel so sad when I hear that Joe. Cheers by the way mate hope you your lass and the bairn are doing as well as possible.

 

I hear some records and I seem to remember everything about that time, one of my favorite records is Remember by Free on the Fire and Water album me and our lass had just got together.

This song is simply stunning, so smooth. Sort of lyrics which just fall into place perfectly. The sort of song that will undress women for you if you drop it on them at the right moment. I feel great when I listen to this and do every day at the moment.

 

Ive tried to post music videos before and failed miserably.

So, if anyone's feeling charitable....

Me and my better halve's song is Deacon Blue, When will you (make my telephone ring)? - don't read too much into that , it was a time and a place.

My second song that stops me in my tracks is by Zucchero - Diamante.

I saw him supporting Clapton at the Albert Hall. Blew me away!!!

 

Oh, and the Guitarist looks like Yann.

When I was a kid I didn't know what I was doing with my musical tastes and I'd buy any cassette (haven't typed that word for a while) that I liked the look of, ended up with reggae and one called The Love Album, Zoom was one of my favourites.

 

Love the stuff Bri, my music tastes span over generations, if they can play it and sing, then I'm listening..
