Nice to see Mel Brookes getting a BAFTA for lifetime achievement. Made "Young Frankenstein for about 3m dollars and it grossed nearly 90m at the box office.

Watched Gold with Mathew Mcconaughey last night, based on a true story with a good twist in it. Really enjoyed it.

I watched. I, Daniel Blake on Friday and WOW what an amazing piece of filmography. It is a gritty English drama which isn't full of sunshine and smiles but as for the acting it is sublime... I think it was SAFC83 that has also seen this - it is a must!!!!

Never seen a good Keanu Reeves film barring the first Matrix.

Looks a similar jist to Taken with Liam Neeson.

It is bit, in fact it's like Taken crossed with The Matrix, as in the slo-mo diving around stuff. I quite liked the first one but I couldn't take it very seriously after a while.

Couple of cool muscle cars in it:

Sounds like one of those films you might chuck on after a skinful on a Saturday to eat your kebab in front of, only to fall asleep with half of it on your shirt.

That's pretty much the measure of it yeah, the critics (and comm) rate it a bit higher than I do though so maybe I'm missing something.

I don't usually enjoy Reeves' expressionless, wooden acting style and it wasn't any different in this one.

Think John Wick was great. It was a pretty clichéd type of film but it was really well stylized.

One of those where you know what you're getting but if it's well done you don't care.

Very decent if not groundbreaking. I'll go see the second. Ruby Rose makes me want to throw up mind. Horrid.

Going to stick Deadpool on in a minute, I only get to see a film once in a blue moon but it sounds like a laugh.

We went to watch because I'm a Matt Damon fan. I love the Bourne films, but what the **** he was thinking this time round I've no idea!

On the subject of stylised violence films this one looks interesting to me, more so than John Wick anyway. I think I saw the anime years ago which I didn't really enjoy but hey ho I like the look of this:

I liked it mate it was good fun and a breath of fresh air considering how stale the genre's got. Bit more blood and gore would have suited it but maybe that's just me.
