15.45 Goodwood. The Grand Visir 9/2 3rd fav. Surprised he isn't fav BUT ................. May be worth noting that Moore won't be on this one tomorrow as he is on another Frankel colt (1,100,000 gns yearling) for AOB at Leopardstown 18.00 Is there not enough time to ride TGV and zoom over to Ireland by helicopter?
I'm all over Khalidi in that race Ron. Looked quite a decent horse before last times slightly disappointing effort. I'm happy to forgive that and hopefully tomorrow the progress will resume. Saying that though the form I'm in I can get anything beat
Six Frankel's running today including two from his second crop: LEARN BY HEART in a 6f Maiden at Haydock - 2yo runner out of MEMORY WEEKENDER in a 1m2f Handicap at Haydock ATTY PERSSE in a 1m2f Handicap at Haydock MONARCHS GLEN in the 1m3f Listed Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood THE GRAND VISIR in the 1m3f Listed Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood ROSTROPOVICH in a 7f Maiden at Leopardstown (2yo - half brother to Zoffany)
Should really leave this to Oddy, but have had a bit of experience with helicopters/offshore drilling rigs in the past, so, as an example on checking: (Distance: as the crow flies): Distance: Arundel to Dublin Airport: 300 nautical miles (555.6 km). Using a Bell 206L4 (max. 6-passengers) as an example. Max. distance: 325 nm. Max. endurance: 3.7 hours. So, this equipment will just about make it distance-wise, but I would not like to be on it if there is a headwind! (A bit hurried, so apologies for any errors). here too!
There would be time, but he has to listen to a lot of instruction from Aidan before mounting so he thought better of it. By the way, on Moore...how good was he at Sandown last evening? Absolutely rid the others to sleep most of the meeting and I was actually on one 2nd to him and still held admiration for his riding. Totally out foxed his rivals a few times. Contrary to that I was less than impressed again with Crowley and DeSousa on two rides but they can't get them all right all the time. There was also a ride early in the day, a Mick Channon horse, can't think of name or jockey right now but he made a horlicks of it about 4 times and only went down 1 length flying home late! Beautiful weather for it right now, long may it continue.
I think that will have been October Storm with Graham Lee on board, did well to grab a place in the end after being hampered several times
Nice Haydock card, watch me find all the 4th placed horses! I'm taken by Learn By Heart in the 2.55, not just as it's a Frankel, but the yard is in form and it's in Royal colours; to quote a friend, what could possibly go wrong! Also interested in Burrishoole Abbey in the 3.30 and Therthaar in the opener. Good Luck all.
Lucky 15 with 4 of the 6 looks like a nice bet ( Learn by Heart, Atty Persse, The Grand Visir, Rostropovich )
That's the one. I would be 100% certain Moore would have made one decisive move, Lee tried to sit and wait 3 times, running up horses backsides before popping out wide. If he went out for the wide run 1st time up the horse would have likely won given how he finished. Just a few basic observations, always easy from where I am to judge. They get far more right than wrong which is what matters.
Without going silly have done Toofi/Stellarta reverse forecast in the 4:55 Goodwood and Rebecca Rocks win in the 5:25
