It probably is. But when you spent your childhood getting stoned watching **** like that, it's not quite the same the 2nd time round.

  2. I never quite got on with that show. It was typical of a lot of the Yanky "comedies" around that era - raised the occasional laugh, but was mostly meh!

The moralising at the end of each show used to piss me off. I have never sat comfortably with the idea of capitalistic, shallow and materialistic Yanks telling me how I ought to live my life.

  5. Oh! I used to love John Michael Glaser and Don MacClean!

"Hey, Hutch!" Glaser used to say. "You had a bath today?"
    "Yes," MacClean would say.

I used to ****ing fall about laughing!

    Here's a photo taken yesterday...

Indeed, what was the one with the adopted black midget with the big mouth? That was worse!

  7. Different Strokes.

The moralising in that was even worse than Fresh Prince.

  12. The good old cabbage.

Not content with getting the kids to stand on a box, they had to try to hold a cabbage if they got a question wrong. The more cabbages, the thicker the kid.

Today, Leslie Crowther would be reported to Child Line for child abuse, and thrown in the cell next to Rolf Harris.

I was quite a big fan of Saphire & Steel in the late 70's probably due to Johanna Lumley. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Smith stares at camera, smirks then shouts "You know what I'm talking about!"

The studio audience goes wild. White kids across the Western World start greeting each other with "Yo yo yo yo my brother!"

Next time on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air...same ****, different episode.
