Wow, terrific question here mate. I've been pondering this for a few minutes trying to answer without google.

Is the other one Joe Hart?

Pointless match , when we get beat by some ****e side on penalties next June everybody will say the players have had too many matches , they should have been on holiday straight after the Scotland match

    Penalties?

Don't think it's a given that we qualify from the group stages to knockout football these days. Our qualifying group remarkably ****e, probably the easiest, that's why we'll get there, yet we've still dropped 4 pts so far.

Southgate is utter dross. Always thought so.

On another note, I didn't see much of the game last night, but I felt his celebrations v Scotland seemed too over-the-top as in appearing not genuine.

Did you see the fenian Grifftiths giving it the cupped ear to the massed England flaskers on Sat after his second goal?
Also seemed to want to personalise the Sweaty goal celebrations, long after the others were running back to their positions as in 'It's all about me'.

An unsavoury character. Let's hope no English club signs this turd.

Can't say I know much about him, but if he's Celtic's main forward then I suppose he'd be Championship standard anyway.

That Scotland team is the worst in my lifetime. I know not many would agree with me on here, but I think it's a shame.

I'd rather them qualify and lose in the group stages. I prefer the 'home' nations qualifying - makes it (for me anyway) more interesting.

There is a school of thought that says the Sweaties in WC74 were a genuinely good team, a last 8 team who never lost a game (in Brazil's group) and were eliminated only cos they had to play Zaire first (W2-0) rather than last. Yugo hammered Zaire (9-0) then in their final game Brazil beat demoralised Zaire 3-0, so BRA went through.
    SCO 1- 1 YUGO
    SCO 0-0 BRA
    BRA 0- 0 YUGO
This was only 4 years after Brazil were allegedly the best team of all time in WC70.
Let's not forget they qualified for 5 successive WCs on merit

Eng v Scotland was miles better, in my opinion, when it meant something to beat Scotland.

Can't say I know much about that WC - just aware of the final, Zaire drubbing (that contain the clip of their player clearing a ball pre free kick being taken? and the DDR v BRD game).

One of the better WCs in living memory. Cruyff, Adidas trefoil, half full stadia, games often played in rain, some unusual teams in it.
Poland, conquerors of England, revealed as top notch football nation; Brazil shown up as deposed has-beens by Holland.
