It's now official - http://www.cafc.co.uk/news/article/...orster-caskey-transfer-done-deal-3503006.aspx Two and a half year deal.
He was loaned to MK. Didn't pull up any trees - tbf was in the champ for a **** MK team. Personally would of loaned him till the end of the season with a view to a permanent. Concerned he has only played 7 games for a **** Rotherham team under theee different managers. Maybe injured?
He's apparently had injuries.. thats what BHA fans have mentioned on twitter. I'm happy with it being a permanent tbh. Think he now knows he can settle and has 2 and a half years to kick on.
F-C will give us more mobility in an area of the pitch where we lack it. Bottom line though is more smoke n' mirrors - an 11m player departs and a free transfer comes in. Did you see what she did there?
He was out of contract in the summer so a loan made no sense for Brighton and if he played well for us we might have struggled to get him, happy with this
Forster Caskey.... does he have pace in midfield and a decent final ball? Because if so it's pretty much what we've been needing all season
When I saw him for the under 21's he didn't appear to have killer balls in him. Was a steady eddy type.
I remember few years back and I may be getting mixed up- but when BHA thumped us 4-0 in the Poyet era, they had JFC playing on the left in a front three with some skillful spanish (?) small player who i remember was excellent. Always used to cut in on his left. More I think of it the more I think i may have the years mixed up. Thought he was pretty good back then so maybe playing with good players in a worse league will help him re-discover some form. Good signing IMO
