Clearly sarcastically applauding when he kicks the ball straight is pointless, achieves nothing, and should not be advocating, but it does remain the case that his kicking is becoming a very big issue. And whether it is coincidence or not, the fact that he rarely makes any saves is something not be ignored (if he was making save after save after save, and constantly keeping us in matches, then you don't care about the kicking) - thanks to the guys in front of him, we concede very few shots on target. But when we do, invariably we concede. A number of times I have left SMS this season saying that Fraser had nothing to do. However more than once I've also had to caveat it with saying apart from when he picked that ball out of the back of the net. Like I say, maybe it's just an unfortunate coincidence (it's not as if he's making howlers, Palace away aside).
I would never boo one of our own as I know how much of a confidence game football can be at times. But I do think he has been very poor so far this season (much like the rest of Euro stars) and could do with some competition. Here's something I tweeted about his poor average saves per game.
I'm not particularly fussed how many saves he makes compared to minutes played. As I say, the guys in front of him have a big say in that. It's largely about how many saves he makes compared to number of shots on target. Creating chances against us is not easy. But taking the chances which are created, appears to be a fairly regular thing.

After today, I reiterate what I said in the OP. Some "fans" are ****ing disgusting. I actually thought he did alright today, but hey, too positive I guess.
Guy behind me insisted on criticising his every move today and then sarcastically cheering when he did something right. So frustrating that fans can't get behind players when they need it most. We know he is injured but who else is a better option?
He had a bad day today but is generally excellent. No saints supporter should boo a saints player. I refused to applaud VVD as he walked off, needless professional fouls.
It looked like he was trying to make it obvious to the crowd that his knee is playing up. I'm fed up with conceding near enough every shot we face but I'm not stupid enough to vent my frustrations at the guy. Not going to help is it. He's playing through injury because we have no other option...well...we have Taylor, but I'm not sure we'd bring him on even if Forster had to go off!
