I don't think we can have too many complaints from that first game. The red card was a definite red. Kane's tackle could (and probably should) have been a red, but they are also given as yellows often enough that it isn't really an obvious one against us. Ritchie's shouldn't have been a red, but occasionally you have seen those given, so it pretty much balances out.
He didn't smart arse! I meant that though Kane's should have been a red and that one went against us, on a bad day then Ritchie's might have been too.
Can't see how the ref had a poor game today. It must have been one of his easiest games he'll have all season. One team passes the ball around and didn't do much with it. The other team, least said the better. No real decisions to make. All in all a boring game.
I thought some of the bookings for both teams were harsh, while at the same time some more serious fouls went unpunished. It didn't affect the outcome of the game though. He wasn't the most consistent. Based on last week I thought Hayden was in trouble early on and yet he didn't even get a yellow. Same applies for that flying tackle from the Huddersfield midfielder. Yet some of the yellows were for much more minor challenges.
Agreed. Ritchie's yellow tlvs Huddersfield was nonsense. Hayden should have been carded earlier, and the captain of Huddersfield was fortunate he completely missed Mbemba or that would have been red.
When I saw that I was fuming. Mbemba's there arguing, pretty much with a stud still stuck in his head, and the ref just shrugged his shoulders at him
